Not as early as the date already being set!!!
No......was talking with Amex about it on saturday and I forgotten what the date was...needed to check as thought (hoped) it clashed with my works 'do' yes that HAS been organised already
XOTF is my get out clause as it does indeed happen to be happening on the same day :D
saves me being badgered for a tenner a month via copius emithers and brown envelopes under my nose between now and then, plus it gives me plenty of time to dust down the dancing shoes eh?! :D;)
At last, something to look forward to :D
Just worked out that im not working the weekend of the 19th!!!!!!:D.....if my manager changes my shifts i will murder her!
Come on then, since we are being so organised we might as well get the route sorted out.;)
Oh and a rule - No matter how tired, or drunk you are.....you must go to the loft!
.....mainly to be dazzled by steve's dancing moves, amex telling you he;s w*nkered and NotOnYourHelly giving you advise on anything and everything - and repeating it numerous times just incase you didnt get it the first time.:D
I might just about be running by Xmas!
This thread is officially re-opened:eek:
Sat 19 December (due to emmi) meet @ 11 am
Run walk jog on route TBA
Indian booked at Lakeland spice

apparently in previous years good times have been had on this! ;)
I'm in
The Route,
I hope it is good for all to all not easy trying to do all this sorting
Start at Scales go out towards Mousthwaite Comb, head up as if going towards sharp edge, at scales beck cross over river Glenderamackin to take path up to Disused lead mine, just after stream head NE to reach top of Bannerdale Crags.
from here follow trod round valley head to The Tongue then we will aim for the 3 piles of stones on Bowscale Fell traversing east of Tarn Crags at the last pile head south to pick up the track towards Mungrisdale at Mungrisdale south again to find a way up Souther Fell across the top of this fell back to Mousthwaite Combe and return to Scales.
i have picked this route this year for a few reasons, not to high, but enough up and down bits to earn beer! it's an area that most won't make an effort to go to, it has surprisingly good views we can drop off in case of trouble at a few points, not to far but not to short.
Hope you like it! i can see your maps coming out now!!
Any ideas comments, stick them up your arse:eek: i am organising this, you would not ask Wynn to change anni waltz so don't ask me :D
looking forward to this
Ohhhhhhh...
I need to start making up my mind if I want to come streight back from Nepal after Everest Marathon, so I can do this, or if I want to stay on and go and see some friends in South India and come back at the end of the year...
If I do make it this year, I will stay at least long enough to see SteveS dance :D
Well, the decision is going to be a hard one: Kerala and Tamil Nadu in December, or a day in the Lakes with you guys??? :D:cool:
I'll be there, you don't stand a chance DT.
Route looks interesting, don't know that area too well.
I've just got back from a weekend do organised by work colleagues in the Czech Republic, and it seems I'm in fairly good shape at the moment for the dancing!
10k trail race in the morning, followed by beer (or for some people beer at the drink station halfway), followed by lunch and beer, a snooze, then barbecue and beer, sprint races, dinner and beer, presentations and beer, buffet second dinner and beer, my specialist event of dancing and beer, midnight swim, back to dancing and beer and the Czech version of champagne, then to the bar and beer when the disco finished way to early at 3am, room party once bar closed, with the local spirit as we'd run out of beer.
Get to bed about 6, up at 8 for breakfast to find the boss of the region who had been at the party when I left now eating breakfast with a beer. I need a bit more training to keep up :( I think I may need the longer run in the day to keep me out of trouble long enough.
Is it time for a list? :)
maybe it is.
Fleeter was saying he was up for it as well.
Memememememe.
Just got to clear some time in my calendar in Dec and start bagging those brownie pts!

Oooo I always say I might come and here I am saying it again :o ....I might come. Will be more of a hobble for me so might just do some of it (enough to earn beer) :)
