Might build a bunny. We will see if there is enough snow. ;)

Just started to lightly flurry in the Kinder foothills
None here in Wakefield area but saw a car in Leeds city centre this morning with several inches on bonnet and roof
A Flurry in Ossett. Stopped now:thunbdown:.
Settling here in places, half an inch or so, but the ground is still a tad too warm and wet.
No snow here... nor was there any sign of any yesterday on the way to Aberystwyth and back... I just hope it holds off and isn't going to mess up this weekends plans, which involve cycling and driving to various places...
Anyone live near the East Yorkshire coast? Were due to travel to the Staithes area tomorrow for a long weekend as part of Mr Piglets birthday celebration (s) Would appriciate an update on the condition of the roads? We have already decided not to travel over the moors from Pickering.
Thanks
Come on, snow snow snow :D But only after I am safely tucked up in my cottage... Gotta get home first, on the 6:55am train
Snowing in Chorley.
Had an inch or two Friday night (ooh err) and then dumped 3-4 inches yesterday afternoon / evening. They are talking about more today :D .....and the Landy broke yesterday just when we need it
Heavy snow forecast here for 9 a.m. :w00t: Fingers crossed for lots please!
We've had 18 inches so far. Bloody chaos. Supposed to be more to come as well.
We have had a flake or two. Still got to work for 6.30am. Lets see what round of excuses we get this morning.
Absolutely perfect IDP  Yes it was just the right amount - just like a winter wonderland, could not have wished for anything better. I was so gutted to have to go home. There is an inch or so near home, but here in central london, there is just sleety cold stuff and dirty slush on the roads
Yeh Dazza, I made it from Nottingham to London - last time it snowed there were local people ringing in with their excuses, while I made it in
Where's that?
5 inches last night and still snowing. Daughter(13) caught bus to school at 7.35 15 mile journey. School next door to my house CLOSED! yet the council bin men(sorry refuge collectors) have been to the school.
Glad you had a good time Karen. I suspect you wouldn't be going anywhere today if you were still in the peak.
A bit of snow here overnight, but not as much as forecast, and not enough to class myself as snowed in... Better luck next time.
A couple of inches of snow fell where I live last night but roads ok getting into work.
Another few inches last night so just keep topping up. Beautifully sunny again this morning though and so another stunning walk with the dog
Here's hoping there's enough to go ski tourung in the Dales this weekend. :)
There's at least 3 millimetres of thick snow (slush) here now, with only a few signs that it's slowing... If any senior managers happen to be on the FRA forum reading this, send us home for the love of god!
Nothing here - good.
Replaced my wellies today, so off for a walk in the white stuff with both dogs tomorrow a.m, then maybe a run in same via torchlight tomorrow night. Lots of snow Harrygate way, a fair dusting up on the moors around Silsden - marvellous. It's about now that I thank God I have a landy, makes the trip to work a lot easier!
How do people run in deep snow though? Surely, owt over about two inches will see you tripping over unseen rocks and stuff?
A fair few inches across Outlane and Scammonden last night. Should make for better running tonight. It was a bit icy last night and I ended up going over on an uneven bit of the Kirklees Way (Turley Coates Lane) through Lindley Moor, and popping my shoulder out. Popped it back in, bit sore today, but I'm looking forward to deeper snow tonight, with "softer" landings!
Stokesley in North Yorkshire. Started wednesday last week. Has been almost continuous since. Have lost count of the number of times I've had to dig the car out.
Just watch the press coverage increase as it heads towards London.
PS What is a refuge collector? Do they collect shelters?
Significant amounts of snow up here in Aberdeen! Sat on the plane at Birmingham Airport for nearly two hours before we took off. Airport had been shut here for much of the day.
yet more snow here...the novelty is wearing a bit thin now I have to confess....i really wouldn't be bothered if I didn't have to go to work tomorrow in such dodgy conditions, well things could be worse, if I orginated from another part of the country I might actually have to wear a coat, but none of that soft stuff up here....

Attachment 4223As Freckle & Deadlegs sez....we've had it since Wednesday here, enjoyed 1st couple of days but need to get to work and its sleeting down again as I type!!
That's the bit I don't like. Spoke to my mate earlier - she'd been sat in none moving traffic for an hour and a half, while her husband was sat in a cold car waiting for her with their 2 year old, because another car had ploughed into his!
Doesn't seem to have affected my journeys today, other than the mile at each end I do on foot - I was slipping all over the place!
heavy snow falling here again, my daughter is already planing what she is going to do tomorrow
Last winter the snow lasted for the longest time I can remember, this winter it's the deepest I've ever known.
And it's not even December yet (just about). Apart from last winter we usually have to wait until February for a millimetre of wet stuff that lasts 5 minutes. It makes you think.
It's snowing down here in Stockport now, but it's still less than half an inch depth. In any normal year we are the last to get snow anyway. The surrounding hills block it. Most years we get none. Last December to June during the abnormal wind directions we joined Cumbria in enjoying a 7-month drought.
Over six inches here. The town was gridlocked earlier with abandoned cars.
Still managed a run over the hills and go to the running club agm. Low numbers mind.
Heavy snow coming down now.
11 inches on the ground here and still snowing hard.
Snow here. Lots. School closed. Bugger.
Hardly any in London town - just some left over bits frozen solid.
 No trains in or out of Nottingham at the moment though so not too sure about getting home.
And Bath has the merest sprinkling....
The roads in my village were like ice rinks last night.
I slept in this morning by thirty minutes and was glad to see it was white enough outside to give me an excuse! Hope no managers are on the forum this morning.
