2 cracking bottles last night. Yorkshire Blackout & the brilliantly named Monkmans Slaughter from Cropton Brewery. I remember getting leathered on that stuff with the father-in-law many years back.

Drinking some lovely stuff whilst up in Swaledale last couple of days, particularly Muker Silver, by the Yorkshire Dales brewing co. Farmers arms in Muker has to be one of the best pubs in the North like ;)
Incidently I've never been a fan of Black Sheep finding it a rather turgid brown beer, never finding it at all appealing and always disp by it. Until I had a couple at Keld Lodge the other night, it was kept in its finest condition and I guess its the first time ive tried it served as its meant to taste, rather good!
Got back to the Rat Race ale house in Hartlepool last night and they only happened to be serving some of my fav beers, Windermere pale Ale from the Hawkshead brewery and Hawksheads newish Cumbrian 5 hop, outstanding ales at their finest, needless to say had a good time ;)
Old P, then bottle of Bates Combined Harvest and Spring Goddess(?). The Bates stuff is all quiet nice. On offer at Aldi!!
Does a gallon of Boddingtons count?
A pint of Marstons Oyster Stout in Bar T'At. Well earned after 15 miles.
I need to stop drinking :closed:
But instead I enjoyed many a good pint of all sorts at The Fishermans Arms beer festival, Headland, Hartlepool.
Oakham Ale- Endless summer was about the finest
Unfortunately (!) the beer festival is on for another 2 days, not sure I'll make work on Tuesday
You have my sympathy, as I am also suffering with the Rhandirmwyn beer festival at my local pub - all of 300 yards away :D
Wish I could remember what I was drinking when we were turfed out at 1.00am, suffice to say it was "jolly good". Guess I shall have to continue supporting my local pub by going back for more today and tomorrow.
Retirement is hell!
