Due to pesky minor-ish injuries, am not going to be able to do this now. So place up for grabs, PM me, Subject to qualifying requirements obviously (Borrowdale or 2 AL)!

Can't remember what's before Esk Haus, but there's the spring shortly after it. There were cups of water at the Honister checkpoint last year, as well as people offering coca cola. Someone random was offering a swig of water at Sty Head. I did like the contrast with road races - where you don't normally get to swig from the same bottle as the 20 runners in front of you, nor do the cups of water usually have grass in :)
I think there may be a little bit of wetness involved. And when you see Lloyd, don't forget to say "happy birthday!"
My Borrowdale entry is going spare if anyone wants it?
Substitutions will be permitted in certain circumstances. That is where a runner, whose entry for the Borrowdale Fell Race has been accepted, is no longer able or no longer wishes to run in the Race and the substitute runner is able to demonstrate previous experience of long, arduous fell races. If he or she has not previously completed the Borrowdale Fell Race, the substitute runner must have completed at least two different category A or B long or two different category A medium fell races (race categories as defined by the Fell Runners’ Association) since 1st January 2010.
The substitute runner must complete a Substitution Form at Race Registration on 4th August.
The Race Organiser will not assist potential substitute runners to identify runners who may be available to be substituted.
Please do not contact the Race Organiser to seek a late entry. No more entries for the Race will be accepted.

Hope it helps you Wharfee...
Rules as per Biara's reply and the procedure is the same whether you got your spare entry a month ago or the day before the race as I gave my entry to a clubmate a few weeks ago when I picked up an injury and I am still listed as a competitor. He will just turn up on the day and fill in the substitution form. I think you will have to present your friend's entry confirmation form though as proof.
Thanks for the advice chaps.
Another entry going if anyone wants it. PM for details.
crikey, people are dropping like flies! I'm trying not to get really nervous about tomorrow's race. I'd just like to get round in one piece and not get too lost. Maps marked up and fell shoes at the ready:)
