The Sex Pistols were manufactured by Malcolm McLaren. I saw a quality quote about Lydon that likened him to a punk Justin Bieber and it's true!
Re: She aint no human being
Having seen the Pistols at Cub Lafayette in Wolverhampton (or SPOT's, as they were billed), all I know is that they were sooo.. good and sooo... exciting.

I love how, 35 years on, they still get this kind of reaction ;)
I quite like the thought of the youngsters listening to God Save The Queen during Jubilee week. It's a belting record too:thumbup:

Ah! I get it now, the best sell out I remember showed up in the early 80s. I went to see the 'Angelic Upstarts' at the quayside in Newcastle in 1978, needless to say there was trouble. As well as bringing a severed pigs head on stage (with a coppers helmet on), they had an entourage of skinheads wearing wet suits covered in swastikas chucking full cans of lager at people. BEST of all they had tatoos............. 'Adam Ant'. Some years later watching TOTP, all the teeny boppers bouncing about to Prince Charming, I couldn't help but chuckle
:w00t:
Oh yes, Vangelis didn't sell out, but did the Buggles!!!!

...and how could I have forgotten Altered Images. Supporting Siouxie & the Banshees to mindless disco in no time flat. Where's Clare Grogan now? And, for that matter, where are the Fat Tulips? I knew I shouldn't have taken my anorak off. Sorry...

Genesis. Brow-furrowing prog to bland Euro-pap. Eeeuuurrggghhh. Collins should be locked up!
