Yeah good race, wasn't sure on the footwear, but went road shoes as my trail shoes are knackered and was fine. Hope this race becomes an annual event as it was a great fast route. Weather was perfect too. Nice to mix the trails with the fells as they are great for your speed work. Only thing they need to get for next year: http://www.towler-staines.co.uk/midge-eater.htm :-)

a very fast race route, i thought that it would take me just under 50mins to get round but i was a lot faster.nice area too think ill do the Brenig race in oct, although i`m not looking forward to being eaten alive after the race (bloody midges)
Will the results be posted online by the way? and where?
I'm a bit sad and like to analyse them.

Struth, didn't realise i was that far up (24th), i thought i would have been lucky to get in the top half! Probably not the strongest field out though. Am covered in midge bites today though...perhaps the yoghurt was to smear on them?
Not too sure if midges like to be smeared in yoghurt. You might just make them angry.Quote:
