I think it's bang out of order spring heeled jacks post, as are a lot of the others, if they want banter thats fine, but a few of those posts are going to far.

It's dragging the forum down hill!!

This is a 'Down the Pub' section. We'd talk about football in the pub (in fact we have!) so I say it goes. You don't have to read the thread!

the football posts are not to bad cause it is only a bit of banter but spring heeled jacks post was not needed

Make your mind up mate. You started this thread by saying too many football posts were boring. Now your complaint is that spring healed jacks post is unreasonable.

As for his post, it might be in bad taste but it is the sort of black humour i hear every day. For instance there were plenty of jokes round here when the 23 cockle pickers drowned in Morecambe Bay. Perhaps you move in different circles to myself.

Make your mind up? About what? In my original post I said these posts have gone too far, and that they were boring. Both points stand. Having re-read your posts, my point wasn't that there were too many football posts in general, just all this liverpool v manchester crap is getting boring
The original 'banter' was fair enough and readable, but it's going downhill fast.
The point a couple of people have made that 'you don't have to read it' is nonsense. There are probably a majority of people here who like football and would engage in a good debate, so would look at a football thread. But I doubt they want to read some of the 'black humour' as you put it.
