Yes it is pre entry and is full as far as I know?? A lot of the Preston lot are going up. Could still be worth checking though
It may well still be the worth the trip as I'm told it's a great race to spectate.

Give Dave the organiser a bell to find out if anyone has dropped out even if you've heard it is full. You might be able to get in on the night if you speak him first.
It is worth a trip to see as it is a fantastic laugh to watch. All these normally svelt and stylish runners thrashing their oars about and getting frustrated is a hoot. You'll enjoy it even if you don't get in.
Ian Holmes is going for another win even after running Tebay on Saturday afternoon. I'll be along to support you all.
Aye its full.
I think im reserve for the reserve whos reserve for the 1st reserve.:D
Well there may be controversy today over Tebay but I think there needs to be a steward's enquiry over this year's rowing!
Ian Holmes made a clean start across the lake then his three best challengers all got tangled together. If I didn't know better I reckon Ian paid one of them off to sabotage the others.
Anyone visiting the Lakeside hotel later on this year should watch out for Holmsey cashing in his prize of a night's B&B for two at the hotel with either Nick Sharp, Tim Austin or Darren Kay. Then we'll know there was something funny going on.
This was bloody brilliant!!!!!
Sod grasmere etc.....gummers how is the place to be with 125 quid up for grabs!
Ian homles was so lucky to get away with not getting tangled in that mess at the start, as soon as he got away it was pretty much game over.
But i must say, for some reason he was looking a tad tired!
Darren Kay obviously loved is so much that baggin 2nd place in the individuals and then going on to have another go and win the team race as well.
Preston put a ladies team out for the teams race (First all ladies team ever;)) and two in the individuals.
Really good event, and its quite nice to go to a right posh hotel and oretty much take over the garden with the people in the hotel staying over looking down from their rooms in disgust!
What an event!
Not true - we had a ladies team 3 years ago - i think we wouldn't be remembered for anything but the entertaining rowing though :o.Quote:

Fantastic event to take part or watch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyone doing this this year? Three of us from Ambleside are having a splash across the lake. Went out today and had a little practise row, dodging the yachts (might well be a full blown row if we cock it up on saturday). I've not watched it before, but from the sound of things I don't think you can really prepare for the mad scramble at the start.
