I'm all for eeking out extra miles on worn out kit by gluing and stitching them back together, but the trouble with just gluing these down when nearly new is that unless Salomon get the faulty ones back to inspect, they won't know the scale of any problem or that they need to improve their own manufactruing process to stop it happening.
