To be honest, the target was just a random number I picked. £2000 in less than 24 hours is fabulous. Thank you everyone.

Donations are flying in. Great to see such a show of shared grieving and testament to how well respected he was by everyone both in the sport and in his daily life.

It must be heartwarming for Amanda and Josh to see how much people care. When my mother died I found great comfort from the amount of people who turned up at the funeral and those who donated. It doesn't make the loss any easier but it's nice to feel people care.

Please add £300 to each of the two charities as offline donations. These are the proceeds of the Windgather race held last Sunday at the same time as the relays.
If someone pm's me I'll arrange for cheques to be sent.
