Get an ice hockey helmet with a cage on the front of it, fairly lightweight and given the speed it's played at shouldn't limit you too much.

Good advice from everyone. I have a ordered a few just hope the delivery guy doesn't mind a walk through the snow to deliver! I will not be using them in earnest for a while but will update this thread when I do. Thanks everyone.
