thanks for asking! :D
if a Half Marathon was ever run under such perfect conditions of course/weather I'd be VERY surprised - practically everybody I know of got a PB - one guy had, like me, never gone sub-2hr before and clocked 1:48!
another guy lowered his PB by 4 mins to 1:21
another ran a 3.5min PB to 1:18
it was a magical day
Re: Wrexham Village Bakery 1/2
excellent news on the PB, big congratulations. Time for a new milestone!
results available anywhere?

Re: Wrexham Village Bakery 1/2
I believe Harrymoon is on for quite a quickish time. Curse his youth and talent :)
Re: Wrexham Village Bakery 1/2
I will keep a lookout for harrymoon - only before the start mind, as I'll have no chance of seeing him after the gun goes!
not sure what I'll be wearing - won't be a Fell Ponies vest - possibly a midnight blue Man City training sleeveless t-shirt...
Re: Wrexham Village Bakery 1/2
Congrats to harrymoon on a top 10 finish
[and this despite losing a couple of minutes due to course sabotage  ]
meanwhile down in 336th position...
a small PB for me, despite not training properly for the last 3 months! no idea how this happened
Re: Wrexham Village Bakery 1/2
mmm - does that mean I was the only one there yesterday that did not get a PB -.
Great race yesterday - shame about the stupid pillock who move the course marker twice which mean at least 11 runners did 11.3 miles instead.
I am trying to mix it up a bit this year with some road races but although I enjoyed the race, the steady plodding round trying to maintain the same pace and then listening to someone ask if they should start their watch when they shouted go or when they crossed the start line which was only 10 feet in front sort of confirmed why I prefer fell running.
Re: Wrexham Village Bakery 1/2
right!
time for my annual half-mara PB on Sunday...
1:52 last year
this year hoping to stick to 8min miles and threaten 1:45
predicting 1:47:something...
