Question is: How accurate are the sizes? I'm a size 7 and have never had a problem with any running shoe in a size 7 (except my Walshes, which are 7-and-a-half but still seem a tad small).
Just wondered what other users had found. Cheers.

I'd be careful ordering without trying on Steve; I think I needed a 10 when I normally have a 9 in other shoes. The fit's a bit 'different' too - snug in the heel area and fairly narrow across the toes.
I had my 1st run in mine last night and think they'd be good for LDWA events, PPP, Hobblyhike etc. They're great for walking too.
Re: Montrail the new garlic br
I've been thinking about them for a while - any good for Snowdon?
Re: Montrail the new garlic br
I have used Highlanders for enduro's around lakes and Wales and find them awsome, much better than my Inovate 315's which despite looking so comfortable I find give me all sorts of joint problms on top of the foot and feel clumsy on uphill sections. I'd go for Highlanders every time unless someone can recommend other alternatives?
Re: Montrail the new garlic br
Ok. I need to try some on. But where? Anywhere in High Peak, Buxton, Glossop area sell these?
Re: Montrail the new garlic br
The shop 'Crag X' at The Foundry Climbing wall in Sheffield do, or at least used to. Ring them for availablity
Re: Montrail the new garlic br
I have a pair i bought last year and have just 40 miles running in them. In very good nick and would sell for 20 quid plus p&p. Size 8.

Re: Montrail the new garlic br
I love my Montrail's, I wear them all the time. As regards the sizing, I take a 6.5, I ordered a 6.5 and they fit perfectly, never had any bother with blisters. Got 2 pairs from www.lakesrunner.co.uk last year when they were on offer at £30, not sure if they have anymore at this price.
Re: Montrail the new garlic br
I've got some - they've given me a monster blister on my Achillies after 5m!
I got the same size as my other shoes, found the heel very stiff; wonder if I can soften it?
Any ideas very welcome!
Re: Montrail the new garlic br
Ordered my normal size 7 and they fit fine. Done 3 races and find them very comfortable although considerably heavier than my Walshes.
Now I just need to do something about the slow tub of lard stood in em:o
Re: Montrail the new garlic br
I've two pairs of Highlanders and they were looking a bit worn. Off they went to Lancs. Sports repairs and they now even more grippy... great and (for two pairs £42) money well spent. The replacement soles do wear a bit fast, but still worthwhile.:)
