What me? counting the grams? OMM next week? Don't know what you mean.
Good jacket though, designed for both running and riding, arms bit longer for the bike and has a drop tail at the back. I don't think you could get a better specced jacket for the price, although I wouldn't turn my nose up at an OMM smock either.
Re: Jacket to run AND cycle in
oops yep, no hood on the Velocity. Although think I got this as the OMM smock doesn't come down very far at the back and have that cylcling jacket shape that stops your backside getting quite so soaked!
Re: Jacket to run AND cycle in
My Haglofs Lim jacket has got a long back, long enough to keep my bum dry on the bike :-)
Re: Jacket to run AND cycle in
Thanks for some excellent ideas and some valuable experience imparted. :)There seem to be some really good jackets ot there but none that really do give the best of both worlds. The hood and seams are an important factor I had not really considered.
I think the best option (Other than splashing out on 2 expensive tops) is to get a fellrace approvable smock and stick a reflective belt or vest on top when cycling or night running rather than try and get a cycle jacket that can be used to run in.
Thank you for your input, I just need to decide on the brand and the price.:)

They aren't important really, many of us have survived for years without them. They are unfortunately just part of the regrettable trend towards excessive health and safety.

Get yourself over to TK Maxx at Crystal Peaks - they've got some pretty nice Nike / Goretex Paclite hi-viz jackets for £70. Nobody seems to be going for them at the mo cos they're pretty garish and rather expensive considering the usual fare is Craghoppers or Trespass.
Actually, whilst looking for a piccy, I found Bourne Sports are doing the same coat for the same price:
