Re: Managing erosion and numbe
We just need more races on little used paths.
Re: Managing erosion and numbe
Ive just come up with the rule on erosion.
We try and repair what we can, the rest is out of our control unless we all agree to leave the fells forever and run on tarmac instead.
Amen.

Erosion is a by-product of activity out on the fells, but it is a price well worth paying.
Re: Managing erosion and numbe
I think you'll find that all of the erosion is caused by fat walkers, rather than skinny fell runners. I positively glide over the ground :D
Re: Managing erosion and numbe
The premise of the thread assumes that people who have seen better days;) are somehow more experienced. I reckon there would be plenty of people in their twenties who have more experience and more time in the fells than you 40 plus has beens;)

Genius. Also make it that you can only run in your local county. Annexe the lakes into yorkshire (what there is left of it above water) and leave the Lanc Mans where there are (possibly with a wall built lancashire) - perfect.

At the risk of your wrath - you actually are a hero of this thread as I understand you don't run on authorised footpaths anyway thus not eroding them (sorry I just couldn't resist):D
