thanks!! hopefully ill be back asap
Knoxy is doing well in training so i think it will be close at coiners next week.
For me the run of the day had to be Kristian Edwards.....he won the u/16s & 18s outright
Unlucky James-How are youi going to sort the injury out?
Hannah Bethwaite was the run of the day for me. She beat my Beckie and Rachel Jefferson from Warrington, both U18s. Hannah is first year U16. She's always been a top class fell runner and the course would have suited her, but to beat two England Internationals was an excellent run on her U16 debut.
Yeah it was basiaclly the same, except luckily its only one foot this time and not so bad so hopefully recovery time will be less...
Yeah the were lots of great runs by a range of runners cross the age groups! Should set up for a lot of competitive and open championships.
have to agree both hannah's and kristian's runs were classy performances
Was he in front all the way (I was to far behind after the climb)?
Hope to see you at Coiners feet intact of course, hopefully ive got the tough course i dont like out of the way and can do a bit better on the runnable stuff.

Any chance that Scott and Adam had swapped numbers after they'd been issued? I know the order the race numbers came in is right. Hope you all enjoyed these short sharp races!
Our mess!!! we have it on our sheets that there'd been a change at registration. sorted now

Can I just say to Wynn and the team how much our small group from Blackburn have enjoyed coming up to the Anniversary Waltz for the last few years whilst it has hosted the FRA Junior Champs.
I know the plans are to rotate the Champs around, but it we will all be disappointed not to kick off the 2011 season at Stair Village.
The venue is super, the option for the Seniors to race is an added bonus, and the organisation and the welcome we receive is first rate.
I hope that there may be a rethink and we may yet be back again next year.
There are some great pictures of the race by dave woodhead if you type in woodentops on google it should come up.
Thanks Hemster; their website is http://www.woodentops.org.uk if Google doesn't respond.
Just to save starting another thread, we are able to take entries on the day for the junior events tomorrow - just sign up at the registration tent. Putting the flags out tonight the air was very dry and I was desparately in need of a drink before I got down, make sure you're well hydrated, see you all tomorrow!
Thanks to all the organisers and helpers for a great race yesterday. Fantastic series of junior races, great courses, hopefully this will be an FRA Junior Championship race again next year. Possibly the best junior race on the calendar!
Here's a video of yesterdays races - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wXwejdDTXVk
fanrastic races. kids really enjoyed them, thanks to Wynn and Steve and all who made yesterday possible.
Great to see video footage of each race and glad each 'new' batch of runners seem to enjoy the courses as much as in previous years. Lets hope the entries grow a little more for next year, and that may be I can get another one or two volunteers to help marshal, We'd have been struggling without the three that Wyn found at very short notice!
I'd just like to thank Chris and all his helpers for doing such a great job .... it would be impossible for us to have junior races without him...
Thanks
