yeah there was a time when BBC2 used to have Seinfeld on, followed by the Larry Sanders Show most weekday evenings - them were the days!
CYE is genius too.

i watched the whole of ally and loved it. Every episode, although jon bon jovi was pretty crap.
Now watching shameless, on series six.
when I've finished that I'm starting Glee.:)
I bought Star Wars - The complete saga yesterday. All 6 films on blu-ray. Now I just need a couple of days to write off and watch them....
Just started Breaking Bad, hooked already ! Fantastic stuff !
You're in for a treat. It's near flawless right through the first four seasons.
The Killing season one. Absoflippinglutely brilliant
Also Game of Thrones season one. Having missed it first time round and having enjoyed season two, even though it took me a while to work out what the heck was going on, its really great to at long last fully understand the plot :)
I have enjoyed the first two series of Game of Thrones. My son and daughter have read all the books in the Song of Ice and Fire series but I have waited till the end of each series then read the appropriate book just to fill in any blanks in the stories as they can be a little confusing working out where everyone is and what the history was. It was a bit of a shock with the events at the end of series 1 and the events beyond The Wall at the end of Series 2 made a good ending too
March 31st Season 3 premiere
Curb Your Enthusiasm season 8 (Larry in New York) for crimbo
Palestinian Chicken anyone?
Not Going Out, series 1-5 on nine discs.
Rumpole of the Bailey. Complete, all seasons from those tax dodgers at amazon for 15 quid inc postage. I will raise a glass of Chateau Thames Embankment to that.
Ah, you see I'm reading the books before I watch the series. Onto the first part of book 3, but not seen the 2nd series yet - I bought the Sopranos boxset a year ago and only just got through series 1 (rubbish at sticking with something no matter how good it is!) so working my way through that at the moment.
Went to HMV in lunch break today to peruse the huge piles of unsold box sets being churned out at great discount. After half an hour of humming and hawing, it hit me. I had a life.
I left empty handed.
The Wheeze family 'having a life' ;)

You missed out the drooling labrador, the third kid, the GRANDkid!,the home office, the overgrown garden, the piles of dirty running kit, the bikes, the track day car,the modelling room, the long list of DIY 'must do' tasks and all the other things that, somehow, irritatingly mean that I cannot find the 25th hour to settle down to a nice long sesh with the box set of Fawlty Towers, Father Ted and Monty Python that beckon with the tearful sadness of ignored presents from Christmas Past!
Same with me on Saturday Wheeze. As well as being discounted they were buy one and the second one was half-price of whatever it was already discounted at.
The only one that really interested me (The Blu-ray extended edition of the LOTR trilogy and extras:o) wasn't discounted just the theatrical versions
Just noticed your signature Alf. GoT?? ;)
Yes well spotted Stolly :D I am not saying I am a big fan but I bought Mrs Alf a T shirt with 'Khaleesi' on it. Well she is the wife of the khal at Alf towers :D

Just started Palin's Himalaya. Technically not a box set I know but still worth a mention.
Today finished watching Game of Thrones (seasons 1&2) and for a cod medieval/sword & sorcery tits and ass-fest, I found the first season too downbeat for words. After slogging through that, it perked up no end in the second. It found a sense of humour and fairly rattled along. Really looking forward to the next season, as long as they don't kill 'the Imp' that is, best actor and character in it by a street imho.
currently working my way through Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 10 (the New York series)
my fave episode used to be "The Doll" from season 2
but has been usurped by the "Palestinian Chicken" episode, which is a work of genius :D
a few years ago I bought the original "outer limits" 8 dvd's with 32 episodes for about £12 from amazon. best night in, ever......
Battlestar Galactica  Starbuck and Boomer have had a gender-change
Frack the Toasters!
So say we all :D
