Am I related to you:confused: , I'm feeling slightly intimidated here.
I'm planning on using Ady from Accringtons map, will this pass on race day?
Just watch the drop off St Sunday Cragg as noted earlier in post, apart from that the route is pretty sound. Enjoy it - I will be in work!Quote:

I'm fine mate,went for my first run in a long while yesterday,just a nice easy 4 miler but my legs feel like i did after skiddaw last year,i have work to do but give me a few months and i'll be back up to fitness again,going to have a good season next year

Superb sandwiches/cakes/tea/juice and the race is not half bad either...The Ben has a draw of its own I guess but not enough to drag me away from this one.
This has to be my favorite Lakeland race.
Good few forumites in attendance, Madeleine, Daleside,NOUH,Moo,Disco Stan (Craig?!) and...someone who I have forgotten.
Thanks to organisers marshalls and the catering volunteers, fantastic. :)

hi. i also completed the race 3h03mins was on gillside campsite 2 nights.race bit wet and foggy on tops, no troubles with route all check points ok,even a few jelly babies supplied on last stile check point. will be back next year cheers.

Great race, nice conditions, did not enjoy any of the descents and made a hash of all but the one off St Sunday. Found the magic escalator scree run again, but so did everyone else. Baffled me looking for that in training. I always thought it was higher up near the summit and not a bigger secret than I thought (just me trying to be a smarty pants).
Cant complain great day out, legs sore now

Great photos - glad i wore my distinctive st george's cross bandana! Glad you didn;t get any of me mincing down those grassy slopes in my poor choice of shoes that day (Innov8 roclites 285 - not good for wet downhills let me assure you).
Great race, my first time on that one - a good canter round before the trial next week (the mountain trial, i'm not in court or anything)

Interestingly enough in 2006 I was 64th and in 2007 I was 64th again.
Not that I spend time looking at results.
