Thank you to Derek and the marshalls, time keepers for a great race. How did you sort out a sunny weather window?

Had to get home after the race, so missed the presentation, anyone know if the results are online?

Rain lashing down.......Hades Hill race tonight......need to run to get me last race in for the 'Run the Moors' series.......i'm off........just have another brew....

This years or last any thing will do me :D

Never had any results for Hades - if you find any...

Someone from Rochdale Harriers volunteered to put the results on their website at the presentation last night. They seem pretty efficient with their website so shouldn't be long.

I have the results here but can't upload them here due to the file size being 249kb (max size allowed 97kb). I'll stick them on the Rochdale site tonight when I get home.

I fancy this one also need to get some decent hill races under my belt. Is this one pretty tough?

Typical Lancashire fell race really..... about 3hree runable climbs ,bogs mud and not too scarry downhills. If your a bit slow though you do have to give way to faster runners coming back on the same track after the turnaround.

As it's an out and back course, you are going to meet runners coming the other way however fast or slow you are!

Plenty of prizes at this one, and cheap to enter

Really enjoyed the race last night. Comfortably soft under foot and a lot warmer than last year!

Derek is going to have a go at scanning the raw results, e-mailing them to me then I will make them available as an image on line. I think he will also be typing them up and sending them to the FRA (but this might take a little longer).

Heading off to this race tonight, thought I'd raise the profile. From the sat maps it looks a good out and back.

Looking forward to testing out the new Ambit 2R!

Its a good little race, quick dash up the road on to the fell, then steepens over the first hill (Brown Wardle ?). Quick descent then skirt Middle Hill and a gentler climb to the top at Hades. Then its reversed until you hit the road and go left shortly afterwards to the finish.

Enjoy, I cant make it this year.

Not very often the local Mayor does the countdown to get us on the way at the start of a fell race, thought it was a nice touch. Cracking night for running, well done Ashley Holt on his convincing win. Pretty dry underfoot but I still managed to find a couple of bogs on the extremely well marked course. Thanks to everyone concerned for tonight's race.

Yeah, thanks to everyone for a great evening race, really enjoyed it.
I first heard about this race last year when my sister's neighbour said there had been a race on the hill behind a couple of nights ago. I checked when I got home and sure enough there had. I vowed to do it next year and we put it in the new club fell champs. Turns out my brother-in-law knows the RO. So it was nice to see a few familiar faces at the end. Even better to head back to their house for a shower and a quick pint before heading home.
Enjoyed the sunset with the windmills silhouetted on the return from Hade's Hill and the Double Decker on the way home. Will be back next year.

Reaching the halfway point and turning back to see the big wind turbines on the horizon bathed in pink twilight, that was beautiful, and planned? I like to think so. Great race. I definitely found the same bog Darren found, looked like an innocent squidgy bit of mud, oh it's a knee deep squidgy bog, lovely.

Out and backs you really do appreciate how good the leaders of the pack are when they come flying past you on the way back down the hill.

Think it was impossible to miss them without adding too much time. And there I was thinking my shoes would be clean to take on holiday! Thanks from me and Neil to all for a great little run out. Good to see Derek at the start and thanks to Andy for taking on the mantle in his inimitable style.

I did this race a couple of times in the 80's. I think it was '83 that the lady mayor was a Hilda Ogden look-alike; resplendent in a red two piece (jacket & skirt) with a hat to match + the mayoral chain of office; starting pistol in one hand, woodbine in the other. Absolutely cracked me up.

Did the race last night, then gave out flyers for our new race 'Lee Mill Relays'on Dec 14th, not that Id hijack a thread......enter via Sportident by the way.

I think the lady you mentioned is Cllr Eileen Kershaw, a wonderful character and parent of a couple of well known kids
