Going for a recce of Legs 1 & 2 tomorrow... likely to be on my own, so will have to consider not doing Leg 1 as river crossing maybe a bit too dodgy.... hmmmm? Pauses for thought......

Any news from any of the attempts this weekend?
Keith Holmes successfully completed in 23:27, having battled the weather - and some very damp rock - pretty much all of the way around. Keith also successfully completed the Joss in 11:31 just four weeks ago (though he could have taken 15 hours, had he so wished) ... oh, and the Great Lakes Run last weekend. No wonder I can never beat him in the DP Summer Series.
Commiserations to Tim Rippon, who set off with Keith, but turned an ankle coming off Halls Fell Ridge which forced him to drop out at Dunmail.
Well done to Keith, it sounded like the weather made things very tough out there! Oh and cracking itme!
I am sure Tim will be back along with all the others who postponed this weekend, good luck to them all!
Well done Keith, a good few weeks in the lakes there:thumbup:
Bad luck Tim, but as Ash says, you'll be back.
Well done Keith a brillaint effort in poor conditions.
A few weeks rest and I am sure Tim will be ready for another attempt
He'll still be out racing tommorrow. He was racing last monday. well done Keith, i'm sure nobody will claiming the bragging rights tommorrow night. Top effort and a lot of graft has gone in over the last 6 months. you are an example to all.
Hard luck Tim, it seems luck is not with the Rippon house hold this year, you will both be back I'm sure
Brilliant effort Keith, well done!
Hard lines Tim, you'll do it next time for sure.
