Ooooo, you need to revert to full HTML mode. Guarenteed to work, unless you cannot spell!;)
By the way, local Grand Prix results are available as they stand now at
www.radcliffeac.org.uk/results07/areagp.htm
(okay, I cheated and converted excel to html :o )
Was it compulsory to grab the railing and swing through the gate into the finish? Looks like it!:)
Tch, don't you know that fell runners technique, Colin? As used by many on the signpost on the Bull Hill race! ;)
colin, you only need too hold on to the railing if you feel like your body is moving too quick and you might go past the gate unless you one moves like a slug then there is no need to grab the rail
Kevan has contacted me to say that entry and presentation will now be in the local church/community centre nearby.

Is anyone doing this race? As a turnslack virgin can anyone give a brief description inc. any climbs/descents of note?!! thanks
Not doing it this time but in short...initial climb, easyish first half then serious ups and downs on second half especially tough if as hot as it was in 2002!!
See Brummy John's review, profile etc - http://www.johnmayall.btinternet.co....ckfellrace.htm
Cheers for that, i found the rochdale harriers link shortly after my post but didn't want to seem like i was talking to myself by replying to my own post!! Ran it today for first time- your description is quite accurate, especially as it was bloody hot today-great race though, thanks for reply
Unfortunately I missed this classic but if the results don't appear let me know and when I get back I'll give Kev a ring.
Really quite hot for this yesterday, a little over cast at times but for the most, Hot! .......and to cap it all off, a couple of us ran it quite early this morning to collect the flags for Kev, it was hot (again:eek:).
Overall a great race for this area with some good ups and downs, cheers Kev.
Anyone have any info re this race on Saturday please? Is there a club web site with more about it?
Brummy John to the rescue again!

May have a crack at this myself, now that I'm levering myself off my posterior and actually doing some running.

worth doing if you havnt done before
Recced this in the mist last sunday and ended up with an extra two miles.......2econd half looks well 'ard.
Never done it before but really looking forward to this one.
Everyone who I've asked about it have said that its one of their favourite races. Despite it looking fairly tough, I've only heard positive comments.
It should get quite a bit of support tomorrow as its a counter in the Area Fell Race Grand Prix,
Run The Moors. See the link for more details...

Although it was tough, it was very enjoyable. Great route :D

tough race but good running most of the way.
the hills were hard work and made sure you worked.
some good performances from many a runner.
many thanks kev.
Thanks to Kev, the marshalls and helpers today. Top fell race this and propping myself up on a gravestone in the churchyard at the end of the race I wondered who was in the better condition  :)
It was a tough race this, but the cup of tea and cake sorted me out at the end!;)
Turnslack tomorrow. Let's see who can get to the church on time :D
Is it true the prize of the pineapple from Blackstone Edge fell race is still to be fought for?:D
One certainity with this being a K Shand production - there will be BOG
