Neither have I Em. Everyone compares their time with the winning skinny whippet, usually a bloke admittedly :)

Amex, it would be an honour to be tripped up by you....Emma what you worried about, you are wonder woman.
Last year, everyone got scores relative to the first man (including lasses, vets, supervets, etc).
There were only a few ladies in the table last year, but it looks like there will be more this year, so you'll be competing against them.
On the bright side, it encourages you to do short champs races, as then you get a time versus first lady because you're running a separate race.
Can I join in Daz?
Not sure how many races I'll manage (only did 2 or 3 last year) but hopefully get a few in.
First up is the Hebden Challenge (does that count?) on the 19th Jan.
Thanks for getting the ball rolling Daz.
Many thanks Daz for setting this in motion again. I'd like to join please. I can get in at the start of the year this time.
You said ANY race, but in the interests of common decency I think I'll continue to leave out the Parkruns.
January races for me are Belle Vue Racers Hit The Trail, Lamb's Longer Leg, The Hebden and Kinder Trial (the last one will probably be a zero-pointer, knowing me).
Em, like Stolly said.....
I suggest:
No park runs
No cross country races
No road races
Only one running of repeatable fell races (eg The Trunce) allowed
Just off road/trail and fell races - FRA, BOFRA and LDWA all okay
Not that I'm bored....

Stick the times in and it gives you a score. I think it's right, I'll tart it up later when I've been for a run.
Dominion, that makes life easier, thank you. Nine standards 76 points for me.
Amex - you get one score per month - if you do more than one race in a month, you use your best score - then you use your best six month scores for your yearly total
we will have a full re-cap of the rules after we move onto the proper Forum Champs thread...
...speaking of which... I will be drawing a line under the 2012 table tomorrow
after that, I will put up an initial 2013 table, then we can all migrate...
L.F.F. - do you want in?
list is growing nicely - we already have more than last year!

I don't think I'll do enough DTS, but thanks anyway.
So let me get this straight------ i race and get 31 points Darren (tindersticks) races and gets 70 odd points, i have as much chance of beating him as i have of standing out side Buckingham Palace with Daffodils growing out of my arse shouting god bless the king, and the father of Kates unborn is from planet Zogg, while eating Frozen Prawns and not getting locked up for being a nutter?
Or am i missing the point?
Sounds like fun, could you put me down
Joking apart last years was great. Why don't we just leave it as it is?
Personally I'd prefer to keep it as it was, i.e. 'competing' against the men, just as we do in actual races (well, most of them). Having said that, it would be good to have the M or F listed next to each name so we can also how we are doing against others of the same gender - gender isn't obvious from some forum names (cough, cough:o).
I'm up for keeping it the same. I'm not bothered about winning as, like in any fell race, I will never win it but it is actually quite nice to see how I rank against the men in the races and on here. Having said that, if any women can be bothered to start a 'ladies' champs, I'd do that too. Occasionally I get lucky and the fast women don't show up so I get a good position:thumbup: I came second in the Bransdale race last year (after running Borrowdale a few days before) probably because nobody knew where it was! (cracking race by the way...check it out)
Looks like fun, DTS! Can I play please?
First race looking like Lambs Longer Leg next weekend - perhaps give Stagger some competition!
Can I recommend the Ian Roberts race from Marsden CC in March? Seeing as I'm organising it, I'm prepared to let everyone else take the points...!!!;)
Count me in Daz. Mind you, I'm not sure I'll be running at all in Jan. If I'm fit enough, it'll be the Hebden. Feb Anglezarke Amble & S. Shropshire Circular. Unless LDWA events are excluded, in which case see you in March...
**Puts hand up** please can I play ?!
Thanks to Dom's calculator (sheer brilliance) I think I get a massive 22 points for the (hungover thanks for the sympathy Amex) Giants Tooth :o
Planning to have a go at Tigger Tor so perhaps I can improve on my January score there (it will be my 40th so always hopeful of some birthday magic)?!
38 points from Nine Standards.
I should improve this at Helm Hill's Kendal Winter League as Carl Bell doesn't generally enter those!! Scout Scar tomorrow, might see some Forumites there!?
Ok I'm in, hit the trail at Stockport for me tomorrow.
Dan:thumbup:
Daz I don't mind what ever way it's done but like the idea of a F or M just for some comparison of possible? Do you need to know just a couple of races in advance and can my points be magic'd on the table too please?! Thanks for doing this it's grown it seems and is a lot of work are you sure you don't mind??
Clay Bank East will be my first outing tomorrow.
84 for me please daz from cpt cooks, using the calculator posted earlier in thread, winners time 32:11 my time 37:21
thanks
Amex - Yes, you're missing the point!
emmi - I've put an F against my best guesses as to who's female! you don't have to declare races in advance, but it adds to the fun if you know in advance that several of us are going to be at the same race...
all - let me know if I have your gender wrong!!

I'm planning on doing the Tigger Tor at the end of the month too. Do club races count? I like the calculator!
