Re: BG anticlockwise 22nd June
Interesting descent route by Mr Goodison - never seen that one before.
-
Re: BG anticlockwise 22nd June
As I said on the other thread of his, a couple of slow ladies on our relay went that way over knowe crags and made standard time, despite being 15-20% over standard on all other splits. So despite looking a mile out of the way it is clearly surprisingly fast.

Much nicer watching it on here- according to met office rain fall radar it must be hammering it down on the helvellyns.
Brave folk they are to be out in this.

Re: BG anticlockwise 22nd June
looks like they have all "weathered the storm" - worst of it through on the radar and they're all still moving
interesting to see Chris took the White Pike option up Clough Head - all the best people do that
-
Re: BG anticlockwise 22nd June
trying to draw bgr map by tracker going up to calf crag see it is all in the head
well done lads conditions must be getting worse

Stolly is going 9am ACW today Ian. I'll update you if I can. We're in Keswick and will be nipping over to see him off soon. Weather looks grim outside atm. Clag very low and it's wet

Re: BG anticlockwise 22nd June
Wasn't a good night for contenders! Penny's decision yesterday was clearly spot on! Great flexibility from her support too! At least Stolly will have a nice dry route under foot to start! :)

Re: BG anticlockwise 22nd June

Re: BG anticlockwise 22nd June
I hope it is a tracking gremlin, but chris's navigators seem to be coming off scafell pike the wrong way - didn't backtrack towards lingmell before turning on the trod towards mickledore. it is dire where they are.
I reckon stoly has stopped off for a pint in the swinside. Dont blame him! Either that or the tracker cannot get a network,
-
Re: BG anticlockwise 22nd June
We saw Stolly and his pal off at 9 a.m. in pouring rain. Not a great day here in Keswick

I'd never even considered the way they seem to have went? I dont see how it can possibly be quicker than going straight down to Mickledore and skirting under the crags toward lords rake, or am I missing something here?

Ken, it's really not great. Clag drifting up from rooftops to a third of the height of Skiddaw. Reports of high winds on the fells plus deluges!
Anyone who gets round this weekend will have done very well. On a more poitive note Stef has been to the Moot Hall and managed to climb the steps (eventually) :o

Re: BG anticlockwise 22nd June
Pace was about right at Honister.
-
Re: BG anticlockwise 22nd June
It will be a good photo-opportunity when Stolly meets Chris K coming the other way on Pillar any time soon. One of those "Dr Livingstone I presume" type of moments.
-
Re: BG anticlockwise 22nd June
Conditions improving in Keswick. We've been out for a couple of hours run with club-mates and it's neither hellish windy, nor too wet

Aye, is on mine too.
Should just have dropped in to Wasdale now.
-
Re: BG anticlockwise 22nd June
I reckon he could be getting dizzy by now if he's running in circles. Been stuck for a few hours.
-
Re: BG anticlockwise 22nd June
Beck Head, between Gable and Kirk Fell, he's got one minute to get to Wasdale. These trackers are ok when they work:closed:
Hope they're ok, Rice Pudding Boy is with em too.

Re: BG anticlockwise 22nd June
:-/ hope he's alright. Moorlander waiting for wasdale leg
