You can most certainly have my legs, you can have my lungs as well if you fancy a chance. Altough I think Joss would have a nervous breakdown because he is so lovingly attached to my mum and dad that he cant bare to be without them - the big pansy! - So you cant have him, sorry.
Aye, just burn my stomach as fuel!
Thought man flu was an urban myth. Just been floored. Not run for 8 days.Gutted! headaches and shivering lasted 3 days. Wife says I'm a tart! Fortunately CWR cancelled so won't have a near death experience by doing leg 5 on Sunday.
Cheers Steve. Your sympathy is much appreciated as there's sod all round these parts. Hope you are well.
EVERYONE has flu
I think I can feel the onset.
I have tried merry :D
Don't think this is proper or man flu - nasty cough though. And lots of hours at work coming up in the next 7 days, so it might get worse.
I'm in as well... coughing quantities of phlegm over the screen so you'd better all stand well back! B**ger!
well, after a week of convincing myself it was 'just a cold' and getting worse by the day and not better I have succumbed to even daring to admit I may have man-flu??
Managed to drag my sorry self to the doctors this morning and have come home armed with antibiotics and steroids
..........off back to bed :boohoo:
Poor Em ;)
Antibiotics?? for flu ??
I won't ask about the Steroids just ask for a drug test after you come running passed on the Skyline.
Had a relapse last night, sick twice due to Quattar, Sepp Blatter has a lot to answer for. But I'm not going to let it get to me, I'm going to buy a tree now, Decorate it tonight.
Booo emmi, sounds far more serious than man flu (but don't let the men hear me say that!)
Hope you get well soon.
As Onehill says, it's clearly a LOT worse than man flu  so much so that it's even warranted 1 whole day (give or take copiuos times of getting up to sort the kids) in bed
Skyine?? Have you been filling in my diary on my behalf or is someone running under my name?
How you feeling after a day in bed emmi? Better I hope?
I am still only suffering a mild dose. Arguably the worst option, since I am now sat on the train to work and am the only non-tourist on it. Damn those happy lively jolly (noisy) people.
Girls posting on the MAN Flu thread? What's the world coming to:confused:
Get well soon all:)
I started with a sore throat a few days ago and then it moved to my chest with copious amounts of coughing up. No runny nose though so I don't think its flu, man or otherwise? I tried some shock tactics last night with the hottest curry I could make washed down with a bottle of Shiraz. It could be coincidence but today it seems to be on the retreat :D
Don't speak too soon Alf, that is how mine started out... This afternoon though I have so far sneezed 4824 times :sneaky:
I had this too I think.
After a week of sore throat and extensive sneezing the snot phase kicked in together with an angry looking rash all round my neck and the feeling that someone had sucked the energy out through my feet.....
Three weeks on since the sore throat started and I still feel tired most of the time and haven't been running. Grrr!
Someone might have to carry me at xotf!
Stef, today I have quite possibly the worst headache I have ever had, and am off work
Hope you get on ok next weekend :D
There's a fair bit of moaning and whinging going on. Maybe, just maybe, you lasses have a touch of MANflu :p
No man could even live through this headache AND still be able to fix the phone socket, cook tea and wash up.
I did actually cry last night though :o But in fairness after feeling rotten all day, missing my train, waiting an hour for a train which then went on to run someone over, sitting there for an hour, crawling into Leicester (on the train, not actually crawling), getting turfed off the train to be told I would have to wait in the cold another hour for the next train... I think it just got to me :o
Crickey Bobs.
I always tell everyone to keep smiling and try and laugh it off what ever it is - People at Sainburys suggest to me that I need help and that im mental, but im just talking utter utter UTTER twaddle 99.9% of the time to everyone to keep myself happy - And it works.
After the crying incident, I finally ended up on another train, and then my hubby appeared on it  I thought he was tucked up in the warm at home!
So I got my huggy cuddle Stef (off a chilly man as he had been waiting at my next but last station for 2 and half hours :o ).
oh eck, that's seems a worthy response to go on the Todays Whinge thread!! Hope your feeling better soon Onehill
Slightly on the mend here, still on tablets, still coughing up God know's what, still not run and STILL feel crap - oh well, soon be Christmas
Im going to have a moan.
When I woke up this morning, my vision was slightly blured in my left eye....thought nothing of it and get to work.
In the car I felt something in my eye, tried to rub it out - 3 hours later my eye was red raw and streaming like a river that's burst its bank.
I was told to use the office eye wash, but it was 3 years out of date. My eye continued to stream all afternoon until by which time I think whatever it was that was in my eye was gone, but has scratched my eye and looking through my left eye I feel like ive been on the lash all day as everything is very blured, thus I've been feeling travel sick all afternoon....which was nice.
HOW DID I FORGET.
I think im coming down with something, my left nostrel has been pizzing like a race horse all day!
