I'm often ashamed of the lack of a second language in this country, when I use to race boats I used to sit with german and dutch families around the BBQ and chat with 6,7,and 8 years olds in english.
can we have a translation please.
Re: Cairning of the BG route
It's all Dutch to me as well-but most postings on this Forum seem to come from a different planet.
Re: Cairning of the BG route
I have to agree with you there Edam, however, you are the most boring cheese my country ever produced. :D

Hey, who forgot to lock the violin cupboard in the Old Fellrunners Home?
Anyway, anyone up for a session down the gym when the office closes? I've got a really cool new programme for the step machine, it's called 'The BG'.

Now if the authorities could erect signs round the full BGR asking people not to erect cairns to mark the BGR then there would be no need to erect cairns because the sheep doing the BGR could follow the signs!

Who needs cairns? The route is so well trodden it is virtually a grockle path!!!

Been up Beacon today and the wind shelter below the trig has been completely removed and it's stones replaced on the main cairn. Story was in Craven Herald recently and word is obviously out as walkers seemed to be putting any loose stones lying around back on the cairn too ;) Stunning day today btw
