It's snowed on and off all day here. snow on the grass but not worth getting the sldege out.......Yet
Snowed most of the day in London yesterday (in Kensington anyway) but didn't stick. Across here in Far From The Fells Kent, we've had forecasts for heavy snow tonight and then on/off snow for next couple of days.
It'd better not bugger up my running plans ! (I don't like snow unless I'm skiing or climbing on it...) :(
Still, the kids will have loads of fun pelting their dad with snowballs...
The things I do for my offspring !
Snow at Marsden & Slaithwaite. Not much, but enough to cover t'road.
Loads of snow in upper Teesdale, 3'' to 4''s and it's drifting.:):):)
Anyone who doesn't like snow has nothing to fear, now i've got my snow tyres on it'll amount to nothing, it's a service i provide every year.
Don't talk to me about snow . No gritters out this afternoon and it took me 3 hours to drive back from Skipton to Settle - thats 14 miles and I could have run it in two in my work suit!!!
Is this snow thread more popular than the other one?
Bilocation. Don't you just hate it when it happens.
I was unaware of the other one when I created this in the recce section. I was about to set out on what became an epic Tanky recce and met up with a couple of forumites near red ratcher and helped them and their dogs to find the Black Hill trod amongst a foot of snow. One of the dogs suffered from Hypothermia & I tackled Deans Clough solo in a raging torrent. Good times.
Snowing like, well snow, here again!
Am i on the right thread:confused:
Ooops:o:D
settled snow here.
Bracing run in it last night.
There were as lot of panickers and fannyers on the roads this morning, had there been a noteworthy amount of snow that i was blind to somehow?
We have enough snow on the North York Moors to have brought the South to a complete standstill :D
Over the ground lies a mantle of white...
Oh the weather outside is frightful
But the fire is so delightful
And since we've no place to go
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
Working from home today :D:D
I've got 8 inches...
...of snow outside my house this morning. Knew that'd get people's attention
The world didn't quite grind to a halt, although naturally all the schools were closed, so the kids got their wish. I just happened to be working from home today anyway, so no great shakes there. Even managed a 6 mile headtorch run last night before it started.
Interesting thing is, it's technically not even winter yet
Had 4 inches down at Halton in Buckinghamshire.
Was nice and cold being marched round in it at 5.30am with shorts and t-shirts on hehe.
Snow Here too. Hope it is a bit warmer than -6 tonight.
