A few unreleased INXS tunes tonight.
Don McLean's American Pie long-player. The title track and Vincent are very familiar but track 6, "Empty Chairs", is surely one of the best songs ever about lost love and missed opportunities ;)
A selection from 'Complete songbooks of Ella Fitzgerald', fantastic. A little bit of 'I love Paris' just now.
Electric Blue and the Rhythym sisters as per my unreplied to post earleir to day
see below, its good stuff.
Whilst looking up info on the band the Pipettes by a series of links I came across the myspace page of an ex band member with free downloads of the music she is currently making under the name Electric Blue (yes that electric blue lovers of 1980's mucky video)
http://www.myspace.com/electricblue82 music plays automatically and is free to download
I then came across a newish website from band I liked in the late 1980's the Rhythm Sisters with a collection of their videos (I had looked before in vain).
http://www.rhythmsisters.com/video.html
there is also a myspace with some free downloads

has anybody else got any obscure'ish musical finds either new music or stuff from the past that may not be well known to all?

Just listening to The Devils 'dark circles'. Great album from 2002 - a collaboration between Nick Rhodes & Stephen Duffy, who decided to finish off some of the stuff they had done together in the very late 70s. Nicely left of field.
Saw Black Sabbath live in the Dio days, like this one
