Is this the route. If it is RFR didn't take it. He went more to the left of that line, on the right hand side of the crags. But observing from High Spy CP it does look a more easily runnable line, if a little further in distance. I assume this is what you are describing ...Attachment 7575
I went down the honister track for a 1/4mile then descend down but didn't swing left.
Ran on a trod then had to run about 300yards through a boggy flat section 45degrees to my left.
Note to self.
Recce or plan detours a little better next time.
Although I'd rather try and fail than never try at all.
Pictures of both Teenager with Altitude (on Causey Pike) and the Waltz (Dalehead) up on http://racingsnakes.com and http://facebook.com/racingsnakes lots to look at, what a stunning day and the views were simply fantastic

I didn't make it to the race, the accident was just in front of us but far enough away not to actually see anything. I figured I wasn't racing that day so headed for Glenridding and a quick jaunt up Helvelyn. I was just glad to be back in the hills and that I only lost my race fee eh.
Apart from the tragic accident, it was a beautiful day for running in the Lakes.
