7m yesterday on road and trail
4m this morning over the fields and streams (much better)
1hr45 on the roads, longest run for 5 weeks. Hoping my back will be better & allow me a full weeks training.
9.5 miles and lots of hills with Sparth, Spirit and Limpet. Had a bit of an accident with a sheep.
31 miles on the bike yesterday, 12 miles off road round Sutton Park today. Made the mistake of turning up for a club run. Can't remember the last time a ran that hard in training!
Great Yorkshire Run this morning. What was great about it I haven't a clue. I have not ran that slow since, well I don't know. I know why I ran slow. Not easing down and running 100+ miles a week for ages now. Hopefully it will pay off at Dublin marathon.
Did another 6.5 miles on the canal afterwards and TGD, John Brown, Mark Carroll, Matt Bond and Vicky Gill.
And this is how slow I did run!!!
1, J Kibowen (Kenya) 28minutes 40seconds
2, A Letherby (Australia) 29:04
3, T Abyu (GB) 29:19
4, J Ndayisenga (Kenya) 29:27
5, J Brown(GB) 29:28
6, C Davies (GB) 29:34
7, M Carroll (Ireland) 29:44
8, A Mezgebu (Ethiopia) 30:00
9, I Hudpsith (GB) 30:02 10, A Jones (GB) 30:55
i wouldn't worry about andi, sure the miles will pay off at the marathon, did 1 hour quite fast over the moors from carrbrook
Typical!! The 'today's resting' thread starts just as I feel ready to run again after 10 weeks of back related problems (The Tatra mountains walking holiday in July didn't help!!) , so I guess I'll have to contribute here instead:
Yesterday - 16 mins run (come on its a start again!!) - 70% off-road on field paths.
Today - 20 miles bike with 'leisure cyclist' friend - along towpath from Newlay Bridge to Hirst Lock, Saltaire towpath - so plenty of stop/start/slow down/ice cream & beer to finish.
8 miles today - wanted to do 10 though
