"But if they were "bright" would they be doing 100 miles?
Oxymoron there somewhere!"

oxy-oxymoron somewhere? :) I don't know, I just don't know.
The LDWA membership and events along with FRA events etc still continue to be the best value. Compare any to the hideously expensive Great North Run (£42) and it's an easy decision for me.
On the thoughts of any 'Ultra' event, Dean Karnazes and Don Allison (A Step Beyond; A definitive guide to ultrarunning) give some good insight into reasons for attempting the 'very hard' but i suppose we are all individuals and all have our motivations. Sometimes it's just a bloody good laugh !!
Re Scarborough Rock , just had my confirmation and no route details there, register from 7am at Scalby Parish Hall. Mass start at 8.30
SCALBY PARISH HALL IS LOCATED ON THE A171 BETWEEN SCARBOROUGH AND BURNISTION. PARKING IS IN THE HALL CAR PARK OR SURROUNDING STREETS.
I thought I'd see how much for the manchester run yesterday, for laugh, £32. It'll cost me £8 for the two crosses and it's three times the distance, doing the short route, and 100 times the fun!
Anyone know if the Rombalds stride is full yet?
Cheeers
Tyke.
It wasn't full as of Saturday - but filling up fast
