The African Cup Final is on 10th February so presumably they will be available (if needed).

Villa are certainly offering their fans plenty of drama this seaon, humiliation at the hands of lower league opposition twice in the space of a few days, and flirting with relegation. Maybe not the type of drama Villa fans are after though.

They will probably have a holiday after the Africa Nations Cup especially if Ivory Coast wins it :D
Re: Tonight's football thread
I will miss Baliotelli when/if he goes back to Italy. Probably a good move for him as he is likely to start more games over there but he will be a character lost to the Premier League and to Manchester.
Re: Tonight's football thread
Aye.. sounds like he's certainly off..
Great buy for Milan, 17 million for a top player.
I think he is superb, would have loved to have had him at OT.. has it all, pace power skill.
Not sorry to see him leave City as he was a real threat especially in the future, surprised they let him go though as Tevez is getting on. They'll need someone else brought in.

Agreed Alf - Good luck to him though, I still reckon he'll come good, it's just a shame he didn't do it here often enough. He's a massive part of last years memories though, particularly the 6-1 and the league title winning games

OK I retract that.. now 0-2 at home to Newcastle.. they are in serious trouble.. it didn't seem too long ago they beat L'pool 3-0, at Anfield?, and seemed to be getting it together..
Re: Tonight's football thread
Frustrating 0-0 draw for us at QPR tonight. Can't help thinking that Mario would have scored tonight as a farewell present, but, maybe in another time, who knows. :)

Aye.. good result for us.. that's one of those that's the luck of the fixture list.. QPR look a totally different outfit now to 3 months ago, and I do fancy them to stay up, sounded like they made a fight of it too, only saw text updates but sounded like they created some chances.
