Enjoy it one and all... other stuff for me this weekend.
See you Tuesday Derek.
Andy, sorry to hear you are still with lurgy. It must be a bad 'un. I've only ever had injury force me out for so long. Get well soon.
Thanks Master, Steve, the shin has recovered beyond my wildest expectations, swelling all but gone and everything. I had been prepared for a long layoff.
sorry you won't be there Andy. My throat is sore but hoping that is just the end of week effect. More worried about my lower limbs but hope I can haul my body round as I have only done 3 events so far. Hope it doesn't rain too much and I don't miss the bridge and turning to get up onto the old railway this year.
Hi all,
looking forward to this although I am also debating footwear! going to take a selection and decide when i get there.
Hope it isnt too wet and windy!
I'll be in Team 9bar kit - please say hi! - I may even give you a 9 bar!
Vicci :D
Don't forget to say hello. At least where I'll be standing (or sitting) you won't be racing past at speed having struggled up Milton Lane! See you tomorrow.
See you tomorrow Master Marvin. Be sure to keep that rain away won't you.
Splatcher, sorry to hear your news. The weather forecast is pretty dire: http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/...t_weather.html I suppose the wind is better than forecast a few days ago. I'm going for Brooks Cascadia now, in the absence of wellies. I look forward to being amongst the forum runners from here but doubt I will know who you are. All the Best to all.
what a cracking race, great to meet some forumites and blog followers such as Will Meredith and Nick Ham, also many other friendly souls. the weather was very kind to us too, which benefited us most by providing some excellent views - Mam Tor especially.
thanks to everyone and the organiser for making this a great event
Wow what a day!
My legs are killing me! My 5th ultra - found the Marshalls and support all the way round brilliant - Thank you all. Met lots of nice people although I am not sure who is on here and who isn't - Was great to meet Karen - (Marvin - i was just behind Karen going up that hill where you were chatting to her.)
Found it a tough course - the last few miles were v tough and i was especially greatful to a nice chap who kept me running up a hill near the end. (although i am sure you told me there was only a mile left when it was more like 2!)
Now i wish i lived in a bungalow and didn't have a dog who needed walking!
