I would say fell as you will be glad of the extra grip on the downhill plummet to the finish on tired legs.

Fell shoe, definitely.

A good map and pick a route.
There will be folks all over the moor and a good line pays.

Well let's hope the naked man I saw tonight above check point 6 isn't there tomorrow...could be in for a fright if he's quietly sunbathing (at least I hope that's what he was doing!) and us lot come piling across the moor!!

JBF - I'm pretty sure another runner (female) was out running up there last year (alone) and was quite freaked by a naked man. Must be the same guy.
Should we be concerned? Or was he just a friendly eccentric? Or did nt you hang about to chat.....?

I believe that he is up there every year " naked sunbathng" hope he isnt up there tommorow, what a shock he will have.:D:D.
May be tempted to do the race now, might be a laugh!!.;)

I've had it confirmed, he is just a nudist sunbather. Nothing untoward. Perhaps someone should hand him a copy of the tick/Lymes disease article in the latest Fellrunner though...?!
