Splatcher - er, no.

I managed to increase my "Jack Ross Coefficient" from 50 at Rainow to 54 at Vanessa Chappell, so quite pleased with that:thumbup:

I'm off to "That London" :w00t: for a few days, so next update will probably be next Friday...

59 points from Post Hill Challenge please Daz (winner 20:03, me 28:14).......and if anyone doubts whether this race should be included it's completely off-road on woodland paths and has this killer hill twice.......Attachment 6991:thumbup:

Daz, I was holding off for the LDWA 100 result before posting but since I couldn't go, one more point for me please for Bollington Festival 3 Peaks. Winner 38:51, me 51:32, gives 67. Hoping I might be able to slip in a cheeky Kettleshulme on Wednesday by way of compensation for two missed events.

Hope you enjoyed that London (by the time you read this).

I can vouch for this hills steepness although I notice every one is walking up...I'm sure I remember running it....ahh they are going up not down :)

straight back into it at Duddon on Saturday, registering a monstrous 23 points - although this is well below my "average" it is still by far the most points I've ever got on a Lakeland Classic :thumbup:

Daz, yes, I ran Kettleshulme. Time 57:42 compared with 43:01 for the winner, giving 66 points. So my 67 for May remains unchanged.

I did Northants Ultra 35 yesterday (as wot Splatcher done) - 6:22:13 was a particularly fine performance even if I say so myself that earned me a PB, yet still only 52 points in this 'ere series with its cruel formula that shows no mercy towards the weak and slow. ;)

Further events planned for June include Baslow Bootbash, Kinder Trog and Whaley Waltz. No doubt I'll add a few more to that on the fly.

My Mega Month of May got cut short after the Eyam half left my feet in tatters - 4 to 5 miles of constant downhill on tarmac is hard going! Before that I did manage to race at Rainow (84pts), Mount Famine (82pts and my first top ten finish :thumbup: - I think that fact fairfield was on at the same time helped there, however Simon Bailey did turn out and posted an awesome time), and finally Shining Tor (84pts). The Eyam half actually gave me 87(road)pts.

So 84pts on the fells for May please Daz. next up is Castleton on friday, then kinder trog and chrome hill

I've got a score for June. Ossy Oiks fell race. Paul Butler won it in 38.49 and I did it in 51.50. I make that 66 points please :)

I have a June score. Calver Peak Fell Race. Me 54:01 winner 31:04 = 26pts. I like these double figures :thumbup:

My June score is now 78 thanks to the Baslow Boot Bash today. First in 3:50, & I was 3rd in in 4:40. Mind you the first two took road options whenever they could & didn't actually visit one of the CPs, so morally I ought to have 100. Still, it's an LDWA event & not a race, so it really doesn't matter much, even to me! 3 mins outside my pb despite last Sunday's ultra, & I'm quite pleased with that. What a day for a run in the Peak! The early purple orchids in Deep Dale were brilliant.

Andy we'll have to stop following each other around, what with last week and this week. I did get a PB though, by 45 minutes. :p That fastest time was phenomenal. I think I'll take all the short cuts next year and see if I can get the distance down to the advertised 26 miles and try for a sub-5. ;)

Daz, my Baslow Boot Bash time of 5:09 gets me 66 points so far for June please. The Boar's Head race results are not out yet but it's highly unlikely they'll improve on this when I ran it so soon after the 35-miler (where I also PB'd incidentally). There's life in the old dog yet.

I'm finding that fell-racing several times a week is good for speed. I'm also finding that others who are fast, fell-race several times a week. :w00t:

I might as well claim my 65 from Buckden. Winner Simon Bailey - 31:07, me - 41:58. Not a good idea to get stuck in the bottleneck at the start. Still, an enjoyable race and my time would've got me 7th last year :w00t:

I did a trail race last week, Durhamcoastalhalfmarathon, it was all off road and had well over 1000ft of climbing, I'm wondering if I can claim this? winner 120:53 me 125:41...been a while since Ive had to work one out if someone could kindly convert it please, that's if Im allowed the result :p

Completely forgot to let you know what races I'll be staggering round in June!
So far, it's been Buckden Pike, which I don't imagine will have gathered many points, as I was some way off the pace of Simon Bailey et al and then Hawkswick - here's hoping the English Champs contenders have left the Dales by then!

OBJECTION!! :p I read 120:53 as 120 minutes and 53 seconds winning time, which I make 2 hours and 53 seconds. That sounds pretty tough to me.

I reckon... 13.1 miles, or 21k in new money would need 420 metres of climb to be a cat C fell race, so "Well over 1000' " needs to be 1377' to count? Do we need a "Is this a fell race calculator?"

:thumbup: I've gone up a bit in June - Grindleford Fell Race. Winner 34:23. Me 55:48 = 38 points please :). Can I have 10 extra for not kicking up at the fact they have me as a FV60 :o

heh I didn't want to cause a fuss so I will withdraw my claim :p it was on singletrack footpath for the main Amex and the winning time was 1hr20, we were heading South down the coast so it was all down hill really!!! They reckoned over 400 metres climb, but regardless I'll withdraw claim :o

Without wanting to stir things further surely it's a legitimate claim given that LDWA/Ultras in 'undulating' Northamptonshire have counted. Anyway over the next 2 weekends I'm doing a 12 mile/c1800ft hill race mostly over field paths but with some minor road in the Cotswolds and a half-coast path/half inland ridge 25 miles/4000ft in Dorset and will be claiming on them assuming one of them scores higher than my current June score.
