Going to a gig tonight - oh what to wear?! Getting there I need 5 x layers to keep my blood from freezing, inside I need 1 x very thin layer or I will overheat...
Well I wouldn't mind so much if it didn't get in the way of work!...i guess your right tho as I appear to have habituated somewhat and am watching copious episodes of come dine with me on replay...and b4 you say anything stolster I would love to go for a run but ain't possible! put some pics up please to cheer me!:o
And I do agree with you freckle - the snow is great (would far rather this than 8 degrees, wind and rain) BUT I do not like my journeys being disrupted so badly... I had to stay in London all week and almost ran out of undies :o
....meanwhile just to prove we are but a small island on this planet we'll all be cheered up in knowing that globally 2010 has set new high temperature records.... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-11903397
I've read, God knows where, that global warming is likely to shift the Gulf Stream further south, so British weather is likely to include both hotter summers and colder winters in future. Rather on a par with Vancouver, home of the last Winter Olympics.
Just started again in Chinley.... bang on time for run up South Head.
-12 this morning at 9am. Coldest I've ever seen it round here I think. I'm still quite enjoying it tbh. Running through it is brill
we had -10 this morning at Horwich no snow but around 18.30 snow and -6 at two lads, Winter hill , Horwich

You had the perfect excuse to treat yourself to some new ones ;)
Soton is lying under a thick layer of compacted snow and I've been having great fun walking to work in my Inov8 Muclaws with fab new mini Kahtoola microspikes attached. They're the business!
The birds are on double rations and I've been filling their water bowl with warm water!
I'm loving the snow :w00t:
We had about 3 inches of snow last night and its snowing again this morning. Just revising my plans for Calderdale Way Relay Recce http://i592.photobucket.com/albums/t.../rolleyes2.gif
Some nice person had constructed this for us to take a breather on last night
Sleet turned to rain this morning.
We built a snowman on the park last night at about 1 in the morning :D
Came out the house this morning to the sound of trickling and dripping as the snow melts.
Been quite bad here (Hathersage) but have managed to get out a few times. Speedcrosses coped ok but have ordered some micro spikes to help in the ice. Today was the best day out in it but next time I'll wear sunglasses.
