Today's poet

Fellrunner.

Short of breath with heart pounding and tired of limb,
I am halfway round wasdale and the clag drops in,
Aches all over and incessant rain it'd be better to swim,
Asking myself what the hell i am doing on this mountain.

I grab a cake and try to eat mouth dry i take a drink,
Slowly the energy is returns to me my steps become more loose,
The fog in my mind is clearing i'm able to think,
Fantastic the clag lifts beautiful valleys, wonderful views.

Tri mind you have been on such a roll te past couple of days, its amazing! three great poems just posted...i loved all of them, absolutely brilliant...:)

ps at this rate i think we will need to get you an agent!!!!

tri-mind, you're in top form at present! First offering is very steamy; nearly made me blush, and I loved the last two lines about Oscar! Have you seen his grave? Very impressive :)

I will let you into a secret when i have enough poems i think are good enough i have decided to self publish them in book form. Maybe about 150 poems or so. My first thought for title is The Poetical Scribblings Of Bipolar Boy{ and other misadventures}. What do you think ?. I am open to other titles and i would duly credit anyone with thinking it up in the book.

Ooooooo the excitement!!!! I will ponder on titles but I do like that one!....excellent news! :)

Two sides to every story, the poetry of MH gives an insight into life as fellrunner and his experiences of bipolar illness....Oooooo i can see the blurb on the back now!

There is this wonderful site call blurb.com which has everything you could ever need to have a professional looking book made up it's great. Hes told me about it and i thought i don't want people to think i am arrogant or i'm thinking what a great poet as it is nothing of the sort. As i have said before i love expressing myself this way and i thought why the hell not. It is not an ego thing.

I don't think it is an ego thing at all...i think it is wonderful that you share your work and all artists and poets must start somewhere in terms of sharing their work with a wider audience...that website sounds good I may have a gander at some point...good luck with it tri and let us know how it progresses, it feels great that you are persuing it....:)

Childhood

A sailor, A policeman, flying a rocket in space,
Cowboys and indians running all over the place,
A Racing car driver going fast round the bends,
A Wonderful summer evening that never ends.

Tigg, i got you and kicking the can,
Play soldiers through the trees see how we ran,
Football in the streets hardly any cars,
Singing songs from seventies superstars.

I look back at those days and it's like a dream,
Was everything as beautiful as it did seem,
Is my mind paying tricks about my youthful folly,
I hope it was that great as now all i feel is melancholy.
