Man United through tonight beating Reading 2-1. Adam Le Fondre didn't get on the score sheet. He is a great example of a player from the lower leagues making their way up. Some have their careers restarted, some get a move from non-league to a lower division team before moving up and some start as young players and gradually make their way through the divisions. I always think its harder for lower league strikers to make an impression higher up unless they have been spotted young. Many get overlooked for foreign imports but some make it. Rochdale have seen a few strikers through their club who are now playing in the Premiership/Championship for example.
