Yeah the light was a bit crap - I'd been to a client meeting north of the border earlier in the day and it was gorgeous coming back, especially when I nipped off the M6 at junction 37 to 'cut the corner' through Sedburgh, Dentdale and Kingsdale. By the time I set off for my run though clouds were blowing in which turned to drizzle for a while. All the same I quite like being on the tops and in the middle of gloomy moors and, although its not always the case, sometimes its the gloomy pictures that are the most evocative. I'm not sure of my second and third photos, which you're right are a bit humdrum, but I like my first one

Aye tha's reet Stolly...o'er Back Scar, Stockdale/Langcliffe tops 'bout 3 weeks ago.
It's the best photo I've ever tekken. I've entered it, along with 3 other photos, in the BBC Countryfile "Moment of Magic" photo for the calendar competition. If it makes it into the top 12 then I'll be postin' it all o'er this forum for votes!

The 3 Peaks
23.2 miles and 5,300 feet
A bit of a last minute decision to run it but a fantastic, if slightly gruelling, trot around the 3 peaks today. Quite hot and sunny conditions coupled with me not carrying much food (I ate one twix stick and two fruit pastilles on the way round) and not a great deal of drink either (a lucozade sport and a stubby bottle of harogate spa water) made it interesting for sure :D
