ohh... well done.. :-)
1992... Yugoslavia were disqualified due to the war so Denmark qualified....

Ouch, gooners 1-0 down.
41 points should be enough for City to stay up.
Fantastic game of football!
Both sides going for it.
Very impressed today with Gervinho/Vermaelen for Arsenal and Kompany/Barry for City
Great game today and promising for us Gooners despite the loss. The Prem won't throw anything as good at that at us for the rest of the season.
It's a shame we didn't get anything out of it though, came close a few times. Credit to City in the end and Joe Hart especially...
Respect to City, well played. Hope the rest of the teams we play are not that good!!!
That's one of the fairest posts you've made Danbert!
It was a really good came to watch and I felt Arsenal were just a shade unlucky - but that's life for you. I suggest it's practically a 2 horse race now unless Spurs can keep a run going - that's doubtful as they usually bottle it.
I think the top 2 will be similarly placed come the New Year with a bigger gap behind.
My ticket for the Man City vs Stoke game on Wednesday night is going spare if anybody's interested...
I don't think they are that good. United and City are just too powerful. We haven't played well at all. But despite being in crisis, with a senile, demented, old, alcoholic, lucky... anything else I've missed.. manager we have a quite unbelievable points tally. Or is that just luck.. for the 20th season in a row...
The table doesn't lie. We're a tad lucky to be where we are but since that City game we've tightened up the back and the big players have stepped up. They haven't played superbly, but they've put their bodies on the line and worked and worked to keep us in there.
City are probably more powerful. But they also have class forwards. Love him or hate him but Mario is class, powerful, skillful and quick. Then Aguero.. They also have the one thing almost all title winners need, and why Arsenal haven't won anything for so long, a class stable goal keeper.
I'm not writing Man U off at all. I think we could do the classic United season. Just keep in touch with a team playing better football, grind out results, then catch and move ahead and the other team just gets dispirited and we pull away. We've a good young squad so I think things are positive.
I saw a great comment on the Guardian I think.. 'Now that Fergie has no money we'll see how average he is'... honestly its those guys who only started watching football in the late 90's believe that codswallop... or he was lucky to get that one generation...What the guy did at Aberdeen was quite incredible and matches almost anything he has done south of the border. Like him or not he deserves a bit more respect from the ignorant fans of other teams..
His management over the past 5 years has probably been the best of his career.. the way he handled Ronaldo and Rooney problems, brought through youth, bought potential, sparingly used the older players.. very few managers would have done what he has done for us recently.
Keane's rant reinforces what Ferguson is about. Club first. No sentimentality. An older player with little more to give or a good coach with more to give. He was forced into a decision to back one or the other and he always looks for the future. He's ruthless - a right bastard. But you don't do what he does without that streak.
Good post Iain. Absolutely spot on. I think Spurs are actually in the position Danbert was claiming City are in last week i.e. learning how to be a 'big club'
Good start for Spurs as Adebayor beats Terry to the ball to make it 1-0 !
HT 1-1 Chelsea back in it. The turning point was when Drogba swapped his purple boots for yellow ones!
Hope it stays a draw, does neither sides any good and means Arsenes army gain 2 points on them.....
well i'm on the goal keepers side. I wonder if any verbal comments were made.

2-0 United Wigan... Berbatov scored.. his sort of game.. 2-0 up at home, against 10 man Wigan.. Hatrick..
But awful sending off.. Just a use of the arm, nothing malicious, a foul.. a booking would have been harsh, no swing of the arm, just caught Carrick inadvertently.. it'll get rescinded with luck, but no help for Wigan in their plight..
Getting interesting again. Tick tock :closed:
It used to be the pinnacle to beat Wigan. But that was Rugby League.
Do we really need to know when a multi-billion pound football team beats the relegation outfit from down the road?????
Probably not, but thanks for bringing it up....
A valuable point for us today against West Ham and still got a couple of games in hand due to a decent run out in Europe this season... Arguably the League Cup run cost us a place in Premier League last season, and being in Europe probably hasn't really done us any favours this season either.
The owner being up in court on money laundering charges just about says it all!
Good post.. So City beat The baggies.. Relegation outfit... Like Chelsea beat Wigan.. Ohh hold on... Is football not too predictable... Squeaky bum time... United... A team in crisis with few decent players and a senile manager win 8 of 9 since the city game...Post of the day on the BBC 5 goals separate utd and city.. 6-1 they pointed out.. But 6-1 is worth more than 5 goals.. About twice as many...
We've had an incredible start to the season, and it's frustrating that we've not established a distance at the top, but credit to the rags - they're matching us every step of the way. The title is too close to call. Two dropped points at the Hawthorns doesn't really change things. The lead will change between us many times before May.
So Evra starts the conversation by "referring" (presumably in a negative sense) to Suarez's sister in Spanish. Suarez is punished severely but nothing for Evra....sound fair?
In that case, Heathen's should be quaking in his boots for being an equally "unreliable" witness.

Top day for the Gooners today after the Wolves cock-up. Arsenal win, spurs draw, Man U and Chelsea lose, result. 4th place is still realistic aim. Well happy after this round of games. Just hope they can maintain this into 2012, bring on the mighty Fulham (hope Fulham have an off day!!)
I see that KK is condoning tit for tat racism - it appears that KK's not only a waster and a liar but also a racist.
You should probably add another K to your signature sign-off
Can Man City take advantage of United's slip-up yesterday or will Sunderland do a 'Blackburn' ?
Definitely an even better weekend for Arsenal, only them and Liverpool won in the top 7. Just hope that all this good work is not ruined at Fulham tomorrow.
