Re: Overweight to Race-weight
I've had no discipline with regards to food this last week or so and I hardly ran at all the week before the High Peak Marathon and then ate like a horse after it. I was expecting to have lost some weight but put it on instead although my legs and bum feel a bit more muscley so perhaps I can kid myself that its strength and not fat that is increasing  I'm going to do my weigh-in tonight before I go to yoga as its my birthday tomorrow and I can't see myself holding back on cake for that!
I genuinely believe that I will do better as the lighter nights and warmer days approach as I tend to live off of salad and become far more active generally. My busy work life helps too as I forget to eat proper meals!

Re: Overweight to Race-weight
Well done! I'm not surprised after the mileage you've put in this last week or so!

Re: Overweight to Race-weight
My weight too is up @ 77.8 (+0.3kg) Pity really I was 76.5 Saturday morning after the 15 miler in the hills on Friday afternoon. I think I overloaded on the recoveries over the weekend

Re: Overweight to Race-weight
ha ha, well, I don't expect anyone else to notice but the muscley bits go hard when you tense them and feel different to soft fatty bits that you still wobble no matter how hard you tense up! My legs have got some sticky out side muscles that didn't show last year and my trousers are tighter around the bum and thighs but not around the waist so I'm assuming that I'm building my fell running muscles. I could well be deluding myself though but I'd rather stay in my 'happy place':o
(...you could always use a bit of creative visualisation next time your wife asks, both of you will be winners!;) )

Re: Overweight to Race-weight
Bloody hell, these things come round quick. That's me not eating for 48hrs, that'll be healthy.
I'd like to say my anti booze campaign has been successful, but the urges for beer are still kicking on a Saturday night. Not that I've relented lately.

You need to get your eyes calibrated Pat.

Re: Overweight to Race-weight
Oh no its that time again, how quickly it comes round. Fear that when I step on the scales tomorrow they are going to go the wrong way! A heavy weekend with full english breakfast, pasta and only a 9 mile run and a night of dancing like a loon! trying to burn off the multiple G&Ts!
-
Re: Overweight to Race-weight
I went out at 9:30 last night in the freezing cold for a 2 hr run, purly becasue of this weight-in tomorrow as I need to burn off the weekend excesses :o
1,688 Kcal

Re: Overweight to Race-weight
Out for a long run tomorrow, tempted to weigh myself after. That's not cheating us it.

If I can get away with it (on the domestic front - getting losts of comments about being addicted) I will be out for another long one tonight:sneaky:

Re: Overweight to Race-weight
Off into hospital to have me gallbladder removed tomorow so to be honest not weighed myself over the last couple of weeks and not likely to. Lost my mojo recently with feeling so poorly and so hoping to regain that mojo once I've recovered enough to start exercising again in a 4-6 weeks.
Excuses excuses I know but just keep me at the current weight for now. I've probably put on weight but don't fancy feeling anymore depressed than I do by weighing myself. Sorry.:o

Re: Overweight to Race-weight
I really dread to think what I weigh after today's blow out! Croissants for breakfast and cheese on toast followed by lots of chocolate cake for my birthday. I did go for an 11 mile run in the snow but I suspect that will make no difference so perhaps I'll weigh myself after the club circuits and speed session tomorrow evening ;)

Having bits removed is a somewhat extreme means of losing weight!!!
Seriously though, hope you're feeling well again soon.

Ditto that, good luck with the op and recovery.

Re: Overweight to Race-weight
How much does a gallbladder weigh ;)
Joking aside, I hope all goes smoothly and you recover well and quickly :)

Re: Overweight to Race-weight
161.6lb for me, appear to be back on track but I don't know how after a weekend of ale and good food.
PS Hope it goes well Flopsy and you get better and back to running soon.

Re: Overweight to Race-weight
No weight change:thunbdown: but slight improvement in fat% and water%:)
-
Re: Overweight to Race-weight
On Monday I must have had a bit of post weekend bloat (at a party on Saturday night so a real blow out!) but this morning 70 Kg - my target
Have to keep it stable now

Re: Overweight to Race-weight
DONE Doc;)
:thumbup:THE FIRST ONE TO HIT THEIR TARGET:thumbup:

Re: Overweight to Raceweight g
Good work Pat and good luck Flopsy
158 lb for me now :closed:
-
Re: Overweight to Raceweight g
68.5kg for me. Down half a kilo, which is pretty unimpressive. I'm pinning my hopes on fading away to next to nothing on the Hardmoors 55 the weekend after next! Well done Pat!
-
Re: Overweight to Race-weight
I am going to weigh myself at lunchtime as I forgot this morning. I don't want to remove this 5lbs of clothing keeping me warm till I go for a run.
-
Re: Overweight to Race-weight
Sorry I've been MIA for a a few weeks, been away a lot with work so weight loss has progressed very well, still hovering around 94kg I'm afraid.
Bike to work weather now though so time to hit it hard!
-
Re: Overweight to Race-weight
64.9kg so thats up again........aagh. Cross with myself for eating and drinking too much at the weekend. Due to go away soon to Belgium land of chocolate and chips with mayo, that isnt going to help at all.
-
Re: Overweight to Race-weight
61 kgs this morning :D No gain, no loss, not bad...
-
Re: Overweight to Race-weight
-
Re: Overweight to Race-weight
I had expected to have gained, the way I have been eating, but really pleased I didn't, even though I didn't loose either :)
-
Re: Overweight to Race-weight
157.2 lbs nearly there
-
Re: Overweight to Race-weight
Well for four days before today I was down to 11st 2lbs :Dbut today ahhhhhhhhhhh I was back up to 11:3!!!!! I  should have done a sneaky early weigh in. Maybe it is this Paleo diet and all this protein is making me put on muscle  ? Here is hoping.

Re: Overweight to Race-weight
blast...forgot to weigh today and I've just eaten my tea! I'll have to do a Thursday catch up.
-
Re: Overweight to Race-weight
66.5 kg <= lack of training due to injury
-
Re: Overweight to Race-weight
Amazingly I'm exactly the same despite the fact I've been eating like a horse. 138.2.
I bought healthy things for my fridge so lets hope I can now start losing a bit more. By the way, Well done Dr.P!!

Re: Overweight to Race-weight
Just been weighed at the doctors, fully clothed, 63.5kg which is way less than those scales at the gym which I think must be very very wrong as I have less clothes on when I weigh myself there yet am a lot heavier! I have lost weight since I was last weighed at the doctors but that was six months ago. Shame I cant go there every two weeks. Think I may have to invest in some scales for home as I really dont trust the ones in the gym.

Re: Overweight to Race-weight
Updated the table and next weight-in is March 27th.
I dropped my target to 69 so remain on 1Kg left. Last winter this thread helped me loose about 8Kg. Tis 4 Kg this year but it is getting harder as the low hanging fruit is long gone.

Cheers Pat. I am not brave enough to drop mine any lower. Decrease in carbs and increase in running definitely helped me.

Gained 3lbs... on target ;)
