Does anyone (IDP?) know if Mortimer Road from Langsett to Strines is open/shut/ice bound? I use it as a cut through to get to my sister's place at Great Hucklow. If not it is a heck of a detour!
Another road related question.. Anyone know what conditions are like in Snowdonia, particularly the A55/A5 to Llanberis/Nant Peris and the A470 to Betwys-Y-Coed. Was planning to head to Nant Peris and do a walk over the Glyders from there but heard the A5 is pretty impassible, so we're thinking of maybe heading to Capel Curig along the A470 instead.
It will be icy early on but I went to Strines pub with no problems on Wednesday, we've had a bit of snow since then but loads of farmers are on the road around there. You may want to miss out the steep dip before Broomhead Hall by turning Right to Bolsterstone-Ewden-strines but I think you will be fine.Quote:
