Best of luck to all, getting those last few places, it is a shame to hear that a good deal of people don't even make it to the race.

A good idea would be to encourage folks that can't make it to put their starting number up-for-grabs.
Bet there would be enough to go 'round.

As last year substitutions will be encouraged. All I ask is a £3 donation to Edale MRT.

just people know, the current status of entries is -
Active Entries: 500 Participants
Waiting List Entries: 141 Participants
I will take this up to 550 over the next two weeks then start substitutions.
Also like last year I will be Ebaying a few places (5) with all the money going straight to Edale MRT. May as well use supply and demand to make some money for a good cause...

Told them to let you through for putting a few of our runners onto the entry list. Just need our 'A' Team runners in now, including the course record holder !!!

I'm hanging on to the vague hope that I get in now. I feel like such a muppet to miss the entry on the first time I've had a go at the champs season. I'm doing a recce anyway with some others and will keep my fingers crossed.Quote:

There's places for people who can challenge in any category and certainly for Gavin, would be good to have both record holders racing! Her on the waiting list and drop me an email.
Purely out of curiosity: but wouldn't the ascent have to be 1700m to be a Class A? (And I am not suggesting the race is anything but tough, I finished it in 2007 and it nearly finished me!)
You are quite correct, but if you take all the shortcuts it brings the length down a bit which might just swing it, especially if you do the down and up.
