'Scuse me but would one of you lot mind sending one of your stable lads down here to round up one o'your strays? That there Grubby is making a right pest of himself coming between a perfectly gentlemanly fist fight between Aggers and myself! The South Wales Winter League is hard enough without a rampaging pony flicking gorse at me, thank you very much!
mornin fellow Ponies http://www.runnersworld.co.uk/forum/...ile_smiley.gif
some of you may remember me muttering about doing a BG on 3rd June
this is still a goer ( :w00t: ) and I could do with firming up on exactly who can provide support
in particular, I could do with knowing if anybody is a reliable navigator for any of the legs (esp Leg2 in the dark)
I will be emailing those on my "hit list" soon, but if there's anybody else I don't already know about - now is the time to let me know, and book your place for the Fell Pony Event Of The Season http://www.runnersworld.co.uk/forum/...ink_smiley.gif
3rd of June you are saying?
I best go check the calendar... won't be much good at running support though, as my torn meniscus stops me from running, but I could provide some roadside support perhaps?
strewth Hann that was a quick reply!
offers of road support are also very welcome, as Lady Slugge is a very unconfident driver and will be next to useless on her own!
DanAzz has volunteered his GLW for Wasdale, and I'm pretty sure I'll have Threlkeld covered
Honister on the Saturday should be fine too, but the Graveyard Shift at Dunmail in the early hours is still up for grabs ;)
an extra car for ferrying supporters about would probably be handy at any road crossing too...
Where have all the ponies gone? :-(
There were two of us at Rombalds Stride last week (Mr Pink and Mr Green: Reservoir Fell Ponies).
Yesterday at the Trog I was running for CVFR, so that only left Miss Red (aka Stef) to carry the Pony logo into battle with the swamps of Cock Hill.
Oh good to know the colours are still out there! I seem to be the only pony on PPP list (although some are in disguise! :sneaky:)....I'd better do good! :w00t:
I'm one of those in disguise. See you at the Hill Inn again?
Wore fuoro green Pony vest today (well hidden under a waterproof)
Good to see you yesterday Tussockface
Little auld Ken thought he wus fit,
Went for a recce but ran like sh1t,
Couldn't get gannin up the fust hill
and after alf an hour felt rather ill.
Under pressure with thumb on the map
Dunno why...but me nav'in was crap
Kept plugging away but to no avail
Route should've been an easy handrail
Turned left at High Raise to Kidsty Pike
Made up time could've been on me bike
Two minutes up and felt the best for days
Completely c0cked up, I'd been to Low Raise.
Toys out me pram....... for wot was worth
reality checked and brought back to earth
Teach me not to brag and think ahm clever
Must train more or Joss Naylor will happen...... never
Tried entering as a Fell Pony in 2009, couldn't figure out how to do it (thick yorkshireman) on the day i will be in Fell Pony attire and that's what matters most.
3 Peaks is a special place for me, walked round as an 11 year old with my Dad and his mates, was allowed to listen to swear words and have half a Guinness int pub after. Nowt's changed, only maybe the amount of Guinness after:rolleyes:
I'll be giving my red vest an airing at the Kielder Borderer on Sunday
any other Ponies trotting out?
Pony alert! Spotted in Cannock Chase today,

Thats a good Rant tho Steve xxx::D
Rarotonga is fantastic but watch out for falling coconuts.
It's got the only airport where the flight announcer is a guy with a ukelele.
Good to hear you're having fun down-under big man
