Many Thanks.
will be interesting this if it is published as not much point travelling if you are last on the list. When it was full I emailed the organiser as instructed if missed the main entry (due to sodding hotel not rebooting its router until entries were full as was working away) but never got a reply even put bids of £21 each time on ebay just to be pipped but I suppose i at least pushed the two winners over £20.
changed my plans for the season now as have a chance of taking a team place in lakeland 50 so will cancel blisco entry as not much point in doing championship races now. not that i was expecting to win anything but i felt my fitness has got to a level I should have got some points on the board in my age class

The waiting/reserve list is not published.
due to the race being even more popular than normal I have had only one place handed back so far, all the others have been subs.
I don't expect any great number of people to get in off the waiting list beyond those who've already got in.
I already have 550+ on the start list to account for no shows.
as a point of order, people who are on the start list and don't turn up with out letting us know will not be running next year either!

Many thanks for the clarification Ian.
Re: Edale Skyline Fell Race
It might be just a coincidence, but there's two duplicate names in the entry list - listed twice, and with the same club.
Kathleen Aubrey
Richard Suttle
(Not that I was scanning to see if my Fantasy Fell Running team were actually entered!)

Good idea! Jimmy McNulty would be proud of that kind of detective work. Seems I need to make a substitution already...

THanks fot spotting that, those extra places now removed and a couple of invites sent out...
Re: Edale Skyline Fell Race
Enjoyed IanFitz's preview on page 25 of the new Fellrunner magazine. Was amused to see this wonderful piece of [dis]information:
"The race begins up the steep zig zag path Ringing Roger [...] this 300 meter climb in the first kilometre soon thins the crowd! From there its west across the southern edge of Kinder"
Maybe we really are running it anti-clockwise this year! ;)

I like that idea.
What's the cut-off for people to let you know? If I'd planned to do the race but then was ill on the morning of the race, I wouldn't necessarily think of telling the organiser, because they wouldn't have time to inform anyone on the reserve list.

this has been pointed out to me... oops.
My defence is that I'm attempting to maintain home advantage by causing confusion for non locals. Or it could just be that I wrote the article quickly and didn't proof read it properly (or at all!)
