So they watched you in the Park Run and then joined Steve Vernon for a session

WP, with just a 60%+ age grade PR record (like me) I think you are maybe dissing the 70%+ age group athletes rather a bit with this snipe(tt), don't you agree? ;)

Delamere Forest parkrun kicks off on the 2nd of March.
Re: Are Park Runs Destructive
Hillsborough Park parkrun starts on Saturday, hoping to sneak my first pram free one in before a visit to the inlaws. Fingers crossed I do, and also manage to set a PB as it'd be a tad poor to be slower without a pram!

Good man, that's the spirit. I look forward to seeing you catch up with Swoop's AG (before Easter?) and then Steve V's (by Christmas?, 2013 that is):sneaky:

Tx XR.
Your post has prompted me to start some personal weekend research into SELCC history.
The leagues 100th birthday this year really does put my imminent 100th Parkrun into perspective.
I look forward to seeing what festivities they can come up with for Sep-Nov 2013.
Cheers

The league was formed in September 1913 at the instigation of Messrs. W.Wilkinson and J.W.Bennett of the North Manchester Harriers Club.
The opening run was November 1st 1913 at Bolton Road, Radcliffe when seven clubs competed:-
Radcliffe, Bury, Rochdale, Heywood, Middleton, Royton and North Manchester.
Royton Harriers won the league team competition in the 1913-14 season and J.T.Toliday from North Manchester Harriers was the over-all individual winner.
Are there any special events planned for the centenary? I have a copy of the history of this League written in 1930.
Is there any truth in the rumour that Danbert Nocurry ran in this first event!:w00t:

I managed 36.07 at the Alsager 5 today which is 75.0%.
Will be at Blackburn 10K next Sunday but will not get near that on a hilly course.

Swoop, well done for your run along the A5 last weekend. Just take care not to get blown onto the M65 at Blackburn this weekend. The weather's coming in again.

Live equidistant from a few but according to the website I've done Worsley & Pennington Flash the most, followed by Bolton, Heaton Park and Preston. Did one in Gloucestershire when visiting, keep trying to knock all the NW ones off but they keep adding events, ruddy Congleton, Carlisle & Delamere!
