Rather enjoyed this....lots of checkpoints with kind pensioners giving me biscuits AND pink arrows to tell you where to go. What is it about the HP40 that makes it so hard?!? I've done the Bullock Smithy and Fellsman quite a few times and always struggle more on the HP40 - every year I say 'Never Again!'. I mean it this time. I think it's all the flat that cripples my legs - the up andf down bits are OK. What a slog!
Well done to everyone though and it's a great race and really well organised. I just always find it very hard going for some reason.
Good to see plenty of people out (Marvin - you are a jammy bugger and you should do it yourself next year and I'll bring my deckchair over to Eccles Pike and watch you for a change :thumbup:)
