Which is another important issue: when I was young ( says in croaky voice) I worked on hush hush ESA projects encrypting moon satellite camera data. Long before Maastricht , Europe used to cooperate on space projects . It doesnt need the EU involved. The attempt to exclude us is spite. At the time we used specialist math originating in India.

Indeed even recently the consortium CERN that created synchrotrons/ hadron collider has European countries .... like India. Being in EU is not necessary.

The idea that you need EU for projects like Galileo is absolute b@ll@x. The nuclear fusion consortia have European countries like .... South Korea!!

The astronomic projects I worked on involved European countries like .... hawaiii, Japan and Australia

When academics imply that EU is needed for collaborative science , they are lying. Such projects don’t necessarily even need Europe at all, let alone EU, and even when EU “funds” science , it is only some of our own money coming back! We should keep our money and let us decide where to spend it net of EU fees.

EU is a useless waste of money, lying to justify its own existence.Again.

Take CERN. No problem having non European or non EU consortium members.

I think the EU does have a place.

Not as a superstate, but as a coordinating body on pan European needs like security so that ( like NATO ) countries lend resource and authority to it, but the union is subservient to, not master of any of the members.

Economists from such as Issing ( who helped set up the euro) to Stiglitz ( Nobel laureate) to Werner Sim, who wrote the definite treatise , are convince£ the euro will fail, even history itself is confirmation for which currency union failure is the norm, and universal in Europe.

Seemingly only mole-onomics disagrees.

And when I reference evidence from Portuguese families to a select committee to substantiate the obvious fact that the euro is beggaring Southern Europeans, which evidences what I see on the ground, it seems only mole myopia refuses to look or see

It is also true that whoever I am makes not an iota of difference to the veracity of what I say.

Your problem is you so want to believe the rose tinted myth of a benevolent EU you refuse to look at the evidence rebutting that. You are welcome to your faith, but stop confusing it with reality.
