Woot  Nice work Amex
Am I the furthest distance pony? I'll not be able to attend many of those reces but I'll see what I can do :)

To be honest Stef, you are the only one who has committed i would need at least 10-15 folk to say yes and they would have to give a donation of say £5 each for trophies, so i think it will just be me running the series then again i am no where near being able to race yet so it would just be my Dog Bosun!
i honestly don't mind sorting out all the stuff but pointless if its just me xx
it's possible I can make Chelmorton and Arenig Fawr, but not 100% atm...
if we add Gravy Pud, I will deffo do that one and contribute to trophy fund
ooh! and what about Pennine Bridleway Relay again next January? I don't mind coordinating that one...

Just in case all else fails.....if more than one Fell Pony runs Heptonstall I will definitely present a spot prize to the first one home
I am too rubbish at running Amex, otherwise I would :o
Amex
It may just be that the majority of Ponies haven't seen it yet?
I'd contribute to a trophy/prizes regardless of whether I can make it to any of the races and having not the remotest chance of winning anything. It's nice to belong to the group and encouraging a bit of competition is no bad thing. I cancelled my road club memberships and don't belong to a fell running club - I only have my FRA membership and pony status these days.
Maybe a list of ponies and pony email addresses might be a good idea for an occasional group communication? I know there's a website but I'll bet there's ponies who don't look at it regularly. (I confess I don't even know where it is!!!)
My next race is the Saunders, I'm doing it with Sam my youngest son, he's 14. I'll bet he'd love to be a pony but a medium vest would fall off him - he's a good head height taller than me but has not broadened out yet!
Stef
I'd hope to do 3 or 4 of Amex's listed races, but maybe one-offs such as the Heptonstall or Daz's suggestions might be a way of testing uptake before committing to a full championship. Given the anarchic nature of Fell Ponies, the majority will always do the unexpected. That's presumably why they/we joined a club with no rules and no official members.
I'll post you a fiver. How about Tanky's going on the list?
I'll post you a fiver too Steve;)
Amex, may I respectfully point out that your mailbox is (still) full? I keep getting a PM bounced back.
I think I know why I haven't had a response: I've just seen Amex singing with Elbow at Glastonbury.
And Amex would have more sense than to wear pale blue without anti-perspirant.
Good news for Fell Pony's!!
Horse shodding demonstration confirmed -9th July - beer garden of THE CROSS INN
Fell Pony vest had its first outing tonight on a training run. Nice 4-5 mile trot round some reservoirs; the hard bit was having to run past all the open pubs on way home...
Nice one Kanga...the trick is to carry a can of Guiness in your bumbag
Any of you ponies still planning to join us on 9th?
Just trying to work out how to identify you for the fastest pony spot prize....
When registering, do you normally give your club as Fell Ponies? Happy if you do (even if you are not an official club)
Im planning to be there on Saturday Trig. I'll be the skinny one wearing a red pony vest; very unlikely that I'll be the fastest though :)
Might be hobbling a bit after last nights run - think I landed badly on some cobbles.
K
By the way, how did the gig go?
just a reminder that the Fell Ponies "A" Team of dominion & myself should be competing at the Cat & Fiddle Down & Up Relay tomorrow night - hopefully we'll do the vest proud!
[dom - you are still on for this aren't you? :o ]
Me thinks two Northern Ponies galloping round Saltwell Harriers Fell Race (Stanhope) tonight
Since when are you a pony Dom??? :w00t:
And when are we walking the BGR Amex? I have been looking forward to it ever since X-mas on the fells...:D
