12 miles via Mow Cop and Congleton Edge and barely another footprint in sight - glorious!!
10 miles 1200' this afternoon mostly on roads and tracks.
Nice late afternoon trip up top in The Chew today, lots of folk in the valley not many up top - nice and peaceful :)
95 minutes out on the West Pennine fells, deep snow, very powdery, at times it was like treading water! A truely wonderful way to spend the afternoon!
11 slippy slidey miles to work and back. -bloody 10!
Ran up the hill at the back of the house..up Miners down Llanberis.

Two laps of village last night on roads. Minus 14.5 degrees C and ran in Walshes
First run out since Withins race I think it was called in Oct, round my old training loop!
Looking forward to smashing some training in over these 2 weeks!
I tried to do my usual hill reps on Hobby Moor last night but my x-tallons, which I foolishly left damp in my car, had frozen solid and I couldn't defrost them or pull them apart to get them on.
Haven't run for over a week due to illness and moving house...getting a bit depressed now!
10 miles near as dammit and 1800' covering the first half of the FTOP course and a couple of "bits" as well. The conditions were superb up on top of Pendle with great views across to Pen-y-Ghent and Ingleborough. I felt comfortably warm on top but really started to feel the cold after I slid down geronimo into Ogden Clough on the way back.
About 9 miles at 6.00am up to Marg Hill and Outer edge Check out the Eclipse thread for pics
80 minutes up and around Tor hill then up and on to Bull Hill, the snow is still very powdery, grip was terrible, but great fun!
Just awaiting the wife's return from Waitrose before heading out on to the Moors of Baildon, Bingley & Ilkley.
Smashing ! More grip in the 312's than the 212's for some reason ! Cracking up on the moors in this weather !
4 hours up on Kinder. From Hayfield along the reservoir and up the steep climb to Sandy Heys, down the Snake Path to the Snake Inn. Didn't stop for a pint and climbed steep back over Kinder hoping to get down to the Edale Youth Hostel. Got very lost though and ended up turning back towards Fairbrook Naze and ended up at the top of William Clough and Back down to Hayfield.
Not too bad underfoot. Icy round the reservoir and hard going down the Snake Path. Only a couple of minor falls so not too bad.
4 hours in the hills means I can enjoy the Christmas drinking season guilt free :)
90 minutes along sections of the Rossendale way, not a sole in sight, fantastic.
XMAS EVE TRAINING. Betty's, Ilkley, for breakfast with the family & in-laws. Let it settle, then a nice steady jog over the moors back to Baildon. Lovely.
3.5 miles including 6 hill reps on the grass hill next to Horsforth school tonight, last run in prep for Chevin chase :p
Sorry SB was rushing, had seconds to post!! Honest
I fancy a quick blast up Blencathra tomorrow, but am struggling to think of how I might obtain consent from wife and kids.
Breakfast at Betty's, then a nice run back over the moorrs to Hollins Hall for shower & coffee. It's stunning out there. Tweaked my ankle however 2 days before The Chevin Chase !
Run out with Fleeter round the edges 7 miles or so.
Out early in the morning to run in my Xmas gifts
Clayton social run from Barley, over fifty of us up on Pendle (obviously!), then back down to Pendle Inn for beer and battered black pudding; marvellous!:D
Hour or so up Dales Way to Bolton Bridge and back by Hawpike farm. Stunning in early sunlight
short run from home, stunning views of the Clwydian hills
Nine miles - six of them hill reps - 10 altogether - such short hills here in Suffolk - more like an undulating trail run. At least it was mainly off road - X talons very good on the icy stretches.
Hour n' half up top in The Chew, great views from Wimberry, quiet, peaceful, bliss :)
An hour across the fields and canal bank. Be glad when christmas is over so I can have the paths back to myself, and there won't be dozens of people out for their annual walk!
42 mins on Danefield including 4 decent climbs before watching CC then a road mile back to Danefield car park from Surprise View after watching.
Short n' sweet today, Plantation - Wimberry ascent/descent and return....managed to dodge the mass of humanity that had invaded The Chew for their Boxing Day meander ;)
Nothing for last two days; starting to twitch a bit now! In-laws came and camped all Xmas day so got nothing done.
Went for a bit of a sledge with the kids today; not sure that counts though.
Ribble Valley 10k tomorrow (oh joy:rolleyes:), once that's done with i can stop doing the speed sessions for a while and get back to some proper fell running.
8 miles along the sea front on the East Coast
Just back from a slushy low level run in The chew - warm and melting quite fast low down, looked cold enough up top to resist the thaw!
