Ahhh, ok... now we need proof :p
Nee Bother, I know you have my bottle of beer from the Saltwell race, so be careful and don't accidentally spill it down yer neck!!!
Hi Hann SORRY
Yes i know i so want to walk it so does Mrs Amex, and Martin (amexs mate) only trouble is i am just not ready yet to do that mileage:mad: getting there but not yet i honestly think it will be next year.
I will start planning as soon as the XOTF is over this year (planning for this years XOTF has started) then every body has time to sort there s%$&t out. but it will be a pub/beer/3day event
i know Gary SS is doing the same walk in Aug you could tag on to him?

All did well at this nice friendly race, 6.1 mile and 1000ft up on the moors in Weardale.
3 of us managed prizes too, but in true Pony style, i've drunk two of them already

Heptonstall Festival - well done Kanga! First FELL PONY - hope you enjoyed it. It was a really tough one CAT A (I struggled more than I though I would - I felt every foot of that 1500 ascent)
Was that your first fell race???
It was indeed my first race. The really tough bit was the very muddy wooded bit near the start - silver shadows have even less grip on them than I though! I enjoyed the bit around the trig point a lot; some good views from there :)
Well done Kanga, first Fell Race, first Pony:thumbup:
Well done Kanga
What colour are the northern strolling ponies wearing the neet then? X
Congratulations to Kanga! http://www.runnersworld.co.uk/forum/...rty_smiley.gif
think I was first Pony at Wasdale... http://www.runnersworld.co.uk/forum/...ink_smiley.gif
Well done MG
Ha ha...the above statement is true, however, I was the ONLY lady pony and as for ladies....well there weren't many there....but thanks anyway Auld Thing and Mrs One Hill x
The three bottles of wine will go down well....and Nee Bother will be enjoying his for being 1st V50! Xxx
SHAMELESS PLUG:
Tegg's Nose Fell Race on 6th August (sadly clashes with Borrowdale and the Long Tour of Bradwell:angry:... but then, it'll always clash with something)... are we to expect any Ponies?
I'll buy the first MP and FP (Male and Female Pony) a pint or an ice cream:wink:.
Details on the Macc site below.
It may not be Lakeland Classic, but it's more of a Peak District Lung Buster.
Prizes are mainly beer with some spot prizes thrown in.:)
Sadly, can't make it Simon.
I appear to be the only Pony in the Snowdon start list for this Saturday - any others in disguise?
I did it last year. One Pony per annum is usually deemed sufficient.
Enjoy!
Hope the weather is better for you than it was in 2010....
Tussockface is right Daz, 1 Pony at a race is a strong turnout indeed. You are right to wear the luminous vest....i wore mine there a couple of years ago and it did a fine job of getting me plenty of coverage by S4C.Enjoy, its definitely one of my favourite races
Any ponies in the Lakes for Borrowdale?
I am toying with the idea of a little trip, to ride the Fred Whitton perhaps and thinking about 7 - 13 August. Would be good to share a pint of Sneklifter or two :)
Master - tbf I think you were much nearer the front than I am likely to be at Snowdon, so even the powers of the vest may not get me onto TV http://www.runnersworld.co.uk/forum/...ing_smiley.gif
Hann - I'm doing Borrowdale, but likely to be just there for the day - be great though, to have you pass me a jelly baby somewhere on route (or buy me a pint at the finish) http://www.runnersworld.co.uk/forum/...ile_smiley.gif
The Master and crew are doing quite well in the Lakeland100, about 30th position this morning.

Alas Daz, I am working on the 6th, so won't be able to start making my way until the 7th the earliest :(
Anyone know who won Kielder Challenge at weekend :w00t::p
Hang on a minute......someone's removed a post :w00t: :sneaky:
Behave yourself marra....I'm sure everyone's a winner in a LDWA event!;)
WINNER IN OUR MIDST ;)
Well done whoever, MG?
